Old school slow jams are not dead! I love Maxwell's latest CD. I've been playing it on repeat and repeat and repeat.

I wonder what Thump and Yvettep think about this one?

I think I know what Yvettep would say. I not so sure about Thump. I don't think I want to hear what Chris thinks about it *lol*. That boy cracks me up. I don't know much about Kitty's music taste? I think Urban_scribe might like this one. Come to think about it, I don't remember what type of music Troy listens to.

That's a good question. What would a rich Harlemite listen to while counting his money and sipping wine? I doubt it would be the Funkadelics or Will Downing. Its gotsta be something in the middle.

Carey, I heard the whole thing at a friends' house over the weekend and love it. I very much want to purchase it for myself. However, I have been put on iTunes lockdown until further notice. Guess my family's gotta eat! LOL!

Yvettep, I've heard about iTunes and IRobot but my money has always told me to eat first and shop at the barber shop -- movie & CD for 5 bucks :--)

That reminds me, Sometimes I do breakdown and go to the movies. Do you know what it cost me to see G-Force 3-D. Well, they offered 2 prices. The 3-D version cost 13 bucks a person. You do the math, there was 5 of us! We didn't take our own greasy popcorn like we would at a drive-in theater but the ghetto-man in me forced me to stop at Walgrens on our way. I refuse to pay 4 dollars for nachos. I am never going to pay $4.50 for a 1 dollar candy bar. I get faint when I have to pay that dollar. I remember that same candy bar costing 25 cents.

Pssst, don't tell anybody but I actually remember paying 10 cents. Yep, 1 dollar for my gas and 1 dollar for a bag full of candy. Shooot, don't let it be around Halloween. My kids knew they were hustling for their movie candy *lol*.

Yvettep, I should have put my question about "Undercover Black Man" down here because it's more of a music question. I stop by several blogspots. Many I never retuen to. As you may know I am a big RiPPa fan and I go there everyday. Anyway, you know that voting thing they have going on - right? Well, although I don't how the votes are tabulated, I can't help but think many blogs are overlooked.

Let me get back ....I am drifting (what's new).

I mentioned Undercover Black Man because of his music stash. He has a good voice in his blog and seems to have been doing it for some time but today I listened to his "music stash" and thought of you. I know you've said your music money box is running low but check out his thang. It looks like he drops a sample everyday. The selections are mixed, many I've never heard of. It might be something to do when you're not working your green thumb or flexing your writing skills.

He uses Vox and it's called his "audio stash".

I like Maxwell, but haven't had a chance to check this out.

I'm all over the map, but old school R&B and hip-hop are safe bets for me, esp. the O'Jays and LL Cool J (forever crush).

And Joni Mitchell.

Kitty, I've never been a big maxwell fan but this fell in my lap. But the O'Jays - Yep.
