Mr. Gates is a very intelligent man but sometimes the brightest individuals miss the point. One line in that piece caught my eye. Mr. Gates told the officer that he didn't know who he was messing with. I think the officer knew quite well who he was jacking with ...just another ni**a. The police officer will probably get a raise. At the very least he won't have to pay for his drinks for the rest of his life. He's a freakin' hero. If I had a dollar for every time a white police officer rubbed my nut sack I'd be rich. One time it happened to me 4 times in one stop. For real, they said they stopped me because I was seen riding through a bad neighborhood. He order everyone out of the car and searched us as we got out. Then passed us to another officer that told us to get our hands on the car -- searched us again. Then when that officer got done playing ping pong with my johnson the other officer, who was searching the car, asked him if he searched us real good. The pud puller said he may have missed something and we were searched again. After a long series of questions, they searched us one more time. I could have went downtown and complained about the pricks pulling on my prick but that would have been an invitation for future peaker pulls. Welcome to the neighborhood Mr. Gates. | ||

Hello All, OK, the question is just hanging out there like a wet sheet and I can't resist: My Ol' Grayhead...what is it about your nutsack that white men find so irresistable? I mean did you overhear any one of them say, "hey, that one right there, his nutsack is the most luxurious thing I have ever felt in my LIFE! Dude, you have got to pull on them and see for yourself!" Well my ol'friend, I wondered about that myself. I know you are a jack of all trades but I didn't know pimpin' was your game. If anybody is going to make any money off of my inflatable tube it won't be you. And unfortunately my nutsack was the only one they could play with. See, Todd Palin has that pale face to work with; all I had was those questionable women in my car. I knew I was in trouble when the first police officer said "OH, look who we have here". I was like, who in the hell do we have here. He called her by a name I didn't know. Another one had a federal warrant waiting for her. I know I know, more questions *smile*. See, I was just being a good guy and was giving them a ride. The more I think about Thump, a movie deal might not be a bad idea. I'll see if I can get a copy of my police bookings. Yep, I'll try to get one in which they told me to spread my cheeks and cough. What do you think, do you want 15% of that? | ||

Thump, you are a mess. I've done my share of bad thangs for money but spreading my cheeks for twenty bucks is not one of them. But I hear you on the desparate times. You post an inane little anecdote scorning a pitiful old black woman who you think you're too good to pass the time of day with, and then you castigate other discriminating black people for being hypcrits. You use the most contemptible of terms when you refer to where you live amongst black folks, but anybody else who criticizes this ghetto culture gets a blubbering reproach from you because you consider yourself the great arbitrator of which black people can be attacked and which ones should be defended. And you still harbor a slave mentality when it comes to your disapproval of black folks saying certain things out loud - cuz massa might hear it. In fact, white people never have a better friend than you when it comes to them being attacked by a righteous black person. You try to pass yourself off as hardened and detached when you are actually a wuss who becomes petuantly disillusioned when your wide-eyed expectations of the world and the people in it don't measure up. Your psyche has no fine-tuning knob; with you it's always "either" or "or, and your reactions to controversial subjects are usually over the top. As POTUS, Obama really needs to stay above the fray on this one. By putting himself in the middle of this controversy, using terms like "stupid" to refer to the police, he alienates a whole segment of the population who society has designated as the good guys: law enforcers. Just another example of his dubious judgment. "Skip" Gates has obviously found himself a cause, and he's going to milk it for all it's worth, brushing up on his best impression of Rev. Al Sharpton. I think the very fact of this "uppity" Black man with a Harvard ID may have been enough to cause enough resentment for some police officers to attempt to "put him in his place." The bottom line for me, though, is that we supposedly do not live in a society where police can wield their power because their feelings/egos get hurt. Those who are willing to excuse the officer's response, or put all or even most of the blame on Prof. Gates for not acting the "right" way...the way a Black man, specifically should...are apparently a lot more tolerant for that kind of society than I am. | ||
