I've worn hair that texture before--many people presume it's mine. But when I wear long silky weave, black men tend to be much more friendly to me, they'll see my hair and strike up a conversation just because it's long and straight. With the kinkier textures, they don't seem to be as drawn to it. | ||

The word "natural" can become an oxymoron - as in a natural weave, which is really an affectation. But who cares? Woman can do whatever they want with their hair. And when folks ask: "is that your hair?" she can always come up with the old stand-by reply of; "yes, I paid for it." | ||
