(Okay, I sold my soul to the Devil and got on Facebook. I have tried to find the person using their given name but that don't work.

Is there like some kind of bulletin board I can post a notice on?

There's no bulletin board. Aside from the possibility that the person is using a different name, they could also be using their given name but have made their profile unsearchable.

The best you can do is contact any mutual friends the two of you might have on Facebook. The person you are seeking could still have their profile hidden, or you might luck up and find them listed in your mutual friends' Friend list.

Needle in a haystack...especially if this person really doesn't want to be searched/found/contacted.

I'll keep you posted.

The last time I saw this person, they were on facebook, corresponding with their "friends". It struck me most of these "friends" had no idea of this person's desperate circumstances.

It is sad. Someone who has to reach out to nameless persons on an electronic bulletin board for the nuturing attention of "friends"
