Posted on Thursday, November 10, 2005 - 11:00 pm:        People are talking about the upheaval in France. Well, it seems that not only France is experiencing social and political turmoil. I have a friend (to whom I send love and prayers) who I met while visiting Ethiopia; he emails as often as he can and recently revealed the nature of Ethiopia's unrest since the country's recent elections. I frequently wonder why the only African country to have evaded direct colonialism continues to struggle so severely with poverty and instability. What am I missing here...more underhanded European and American manipulation? But what you may be over looking is that avarice and greed are not only allocated to Europeans and Americans. There are many whom within the geographic confines of Ethiopa whom are willing to enslave their own children for profit and power. They feign democracy as long as it supports their greed.
