Just popped in to see if aalbc boards had discussion going on with this surprising news: Janet Jackson has an 18-year-old daughter. Reebie has been raising the girl, who's name is Renee. My computer's clogged, trying to download the interview, so I can't easily put the link here. If you're interest, just pick it up at www.ViqiFrenchFever.blogspot.com Best! |

If is true, I wouldn't be surprised. But Janet is entitled to her personal life. I never could get onboard with this idea that because you are a public figure or media star, you have no rights to a private life. Focus on the woman’s music and leave her private life alone. She should be responsible for making bad music or poor performances but her personal life is no ones business. |

NTFS -- You may have heard by now that the Jackson family denies the rumor about Janet having an 18-year-old daughter. They certainly don't have to prove anything to me, yet my "inquiring mind" remains admittedly curious, as do many others. As a fan of the Jackson family since my teen years, I'd enjoy seeing their outstanding entertainment legacy being passed on to their next generation. I recently saw a video concert -- the Daughters of Soul -- starring the daughters of Donny Hathaway, Nina Simone and Chaka Khan on stage together. Gotta tell you, it almost brought tears to my eyes, seeing this "passing of the baton" with each young woman clearly having inherited their famous parent's chops. While I don't know any of these people and they occupy a very minor percentage of my thought, if a little Janet came along and joined that powerful Daughters of Soul line-up, it would be mighty heart-warming for us Jackson fans. PS To watch the Daughters of Soul concert -- all two fabulous hours of it, including Nona Hendryx and Sandra St. Victor, check it out here: http://www.fabchannel.com |

Let's be fair. Janet Jackson has come out and said this is not true.
