I never was a fan of his, nor most of our so-called leaders; because most
(if not all) of them were color-struck -- which is why we still haven't gotten anywhere today -- The blind leading the blind.

All the good he did and you want to bury it because of this--a report put out by a man who was a cross dresser and a closet case.

But the houses are NOT the same.
The psyche of black men obsesses them to desire white/light skin to the point where they'll risk a great deal to have it; and in the case of MLK his reputation could be the price paid for an unhealthy conscious. The same could be said about white/light men. There's no doubt that some of the white/light men I've dated was with me primarily because of my dark skin. But I was not the one obsessing and I knew the deal; therefore, I didn't stand to loose/risk a lot.
So the bottom line is: when it comes to ME vs. MLK - I can/do run faster/better with my skirt up than he can/did with his pants down.

It is interesting that you were so helpless that you just had to date those poor obsessed white men because they were obsessed with your skin.
You had no free will? You couldn't say no?
Why couldn't you say no? Maybe you and Dr. King, or at least the picture you have of his mind, are not so different as you think.
That could be why you despise his behavior so.
I believe the psychological term for it is projection.

I was arrogant. It was that simple. I thought I was the shit -- and I was.
It's amazing what a boy/man will do for a perfect pair of legs, C cups, and a pretty brown face.
But it had nothing to do with their skin; in fact, my preference is/was authentic black men. When I needed an ego boost, however, I relied on the obsession of white, Asian, Hispanic, and high yellow men. I was young and, of course, I was way too arrogant, but I must admit, I had a lot of fun --
Fun being the operative word.... Black men don't get that.

Ah but have you asked all of them? No.
You hope they don't get that. I have seen some of them get it so bad they won't have anything to do with black women anymore.
They get it. I've seen them have fun, get sex, money, clothes a charge everything.
I remember one time I went to the McDonalds with a white woman. Coworker. Just lunch. She was married. Kids. I knew her husband. Nothing is happening.
This brother behind the counter was all smiles. Waited on us like we was the king and queen of England.
It was sad really. He was getting off just seeing me with this woman.
But you don't know what King was doing with those women. My understanding was that they were party or call girls. It was a sex thang. He also slept with black women is my understanding and he was married to a black one.
He could have had white women if he wanted. Why do you think he didn't do that. If you want to say it would have messed up his standing as a civil rights leader--that means he might not have been bombed, shot, stabbed put in jail and ultimately assasinated.

You Keep missing the point. He may have ruined his reputation. why would he take that risk.
It's one thing to have fun, but not at all cost.
That's what gamblers do because it's an obsession; they're obsessed... and that's my theory on King. I know what I'm talking about -- I've been there, just on the other side.
And if you don't want to believe me, ask white women -- the ones who'll be honest.

Keep in mind that it's more acceptable for men to openly glorify dark skin... and darkskinned women (usually) don't benefit a lot from white supremacy... so it's easier for me to be frank about the subject... but you won't get a lot of non-black and lightskinned women to be as candid because of the guilt that's associated with their experiences.

And although I was arrogant I was never the type of person that would take advantage of some one; but that's EXACTLY what MANY women do and that, too, adds to their feeling guilty.
