"Somebody broke into Mr. Smith's store, and I think it was a nigger! " This is the key to the events on September 11, 2001. This is the key to understanding the invasion of Iraq. This is the key to many things. Before we get to that, though, here's a copy of that link posted somewhere else on this board: ( the story of Sam Hose, in Newman, Georgia ) --- www.amazon.com/gp/reader/0944092691/ref=sib_fs_bod/104-2637761-6854324?%5Fencodi ng=UTF8&p=S00H&checkSum=Nv3wrQ9veRNyXZSV32PUDcyHFJ1DC0%2B5cC1NrghW0CA%3D --- |

More on Sam Hose --- From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. <<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>> Sam Hose was an African American worker who was lynched in Newnan, Georgia on April 23, 1899, in front of 2,000 white people, many of whom had travelled to Newnan from Atlanta for the occasion. Hose was accused of murdering his employer, Albert Cranford, over a wage dispute. Hose killed Cranford, who had pulled a revolver on Hose, with an axe. Cranford's wife accused Hose of raping her as her husband lay dying, but subsequently admitted to fabricating this claim. Hose's lynching was well advertised ahead of time in newspapers, including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which implied Hose would be tortured prior to his lynching. Sam Hose's corpse was mutilated and dismembered (his ears, genitals, and fingers were cut off, and his face skinned). His body was then tied to a tree and set on fire, and parts of him were taken as souvenirs by onlookers. --- Source: www.wikipedia.org ---

How awful! I has never ceased to be confounded by the deep hatred whites have harbored for blacks down through the centuries. Even without them committing offense, whites have held blacks in contempt like it's part of their genetic make-up to naturally hate blacks, and they have to make a conscious effort to not be prejudiced against them. That's why I've always wrestled with the idea of the black race being cursed. All other races and ethnic groups seem to have it in for those of the negroid stock, even as they shun them. |

Cynique: The black race is not cursed. When the black folks are removed from the equation all other ethnic groups turn on each other with tigerish ferocity. I take you to the Iran Iraq War of 1980-88, the violence between Jews and Muslims in Palestine 1930-present, the Germans vs the Russians 1941-1945, The Sino-Japanese War 1937-1945--though more of us may have been slaughtered over the years at the hands of white folks, African Americans have never endured a one time slaughter like the Rape of Nanking--200,000 in one week. It just hurts yo po' soul dat massa be so mean and cruel to yo' Get over it. |

I'm not just talking about mass slaughter or holocausts, I'm talking about being looked down by all other races no matter what their status is. You choose denial. I choose voodoo. And it's a wonder you don't deal with voodoo because you think you're the head shaman and high priest and supreme witch doctor when it comes to everything about everything. But actually you're just a little self-important tin god. |

The original mention of the Sam Hose story is in a post by Troy Johnson (of AALBC.com). The facts of the Sam Hose story are documented in many places. But are the lessons? |
