I'm walking up Grand Ave and one of my fans pulls over in a car.
"Mr. Chris can I talk to you?" she asks.
The car is a hooptie. Dented up. Smoking. I told you she was one of MY fans.
"Yes dear just pull up out of this driveway," I said.
She had pulled over blocking the driveway of a liquor store. Several of the tough looking patrons of the place were glaring at us.
She kept trying to talk. She was having trouble. I kept trying to get her to pull up out of the driveway. She pulled up a couple of inches and sat there, motor running, blocking the driveway.
Finally she pulled her false teeth out and asked, "Mr Chris, has your book been made into a movie yet?"
"No dear," I replied. "But you can order it over Amazon or at your bookstore or the library I think has copies."
