My two cents about Tom Cruise and his biracial/black son.....
While I understand the point that Tom is making (that his son his "human"), I felt disappointed that he didn't use that opportunity to openly and freely discuss, especially as a white man, the blatant hatred and racism/colorism that continues to be a part of our culture/society. There are many reasons why he didn't discuss it. Since I don't know him, I can't really comment on why --though I certainly have my own theories.
Nevertheless, his child will encounter racism.

Just 2 more cents....I promise ;)
I don't ever think the world will become one color. People still date/marry/procreate primarily within their own race/culture.

Lastly, biracial children are not a bunch of "bastards" and "gypsies". Like any other child, when they are trained and guided well they make positive contributions to this world. In most cases, children are only as strong, or weak, as their parents.

Great points, MOONSIGNS....and I agree with you.

It's a shame that more White parents of mixed children aren't LIKE YOU (and like Halle Berry's mom)----but in time, as they get more experience, there probably will be.

I think of you as a wonderful human being, Moonsigns. The operative word being "human" and imperfect like the rest of us.
