Well St. Louis was jumpin' over the weekend, uncharacteristically so--there was a big championship fight (homeboy lost) and the Superbowl. I wound up drinking about a gallon of California Port wine (hey! This is George Bush's America. A brother got to do what he can to get over. At $1.98 it was a bargain) At one point my brain actually stopped working (how I was aware that my brain was not working is just another insidious side effect of this lethal potion) I smelled like a distillery to everybody even myself and I am only now fully recovering the feeling in my arms and legs. I haven't felt this way since I drank two fifths of MD 20 20--remind me to tell you about it some time. My advice, if you are tempted by the California Port Wine--JUST SAY NO! |

Sorry Chris, I wished you would have asked me before you drank it. See, California wine must only be drunk in California. It's the correct angle of the sun that helps evaporate some of the alcohol between the glass and your lips - it's gotta be just right. Yea, some day I'll tell my Cisco story! |

Chris, I love port. Sounds like FUN! Ooops, my bad: I'll whisper, in case you have a wicked headache. About Mad Dog...to me, it tastes like somebody hosed down an old drunk, wrung him out, and bottled it. But who drinks it for the taste!!?? Cheers! |

Next time check out the merits of Sangria, Chris. True, it costs a little more per gallon. But surely a well-heeled brotha like you can afford the few additional pennies it costs to purchase this nectar of the demi-gods. BTW, I presume you put your money on Philadelphia. Chump. But what can you expect from someone who predicts Clint Eastwood will win the Oscar for best actor. |

Ummmm, I can imagine, Mahoganyanais, but ol Cynique doesn't make anything from scratch. When it comes to Sangria I put my trust in Gallo - or whatever other brand is on sale. I'm like that; very low-maintenance. I buy my shoes at Pay Less, never shop at the high-end stores, and loooove cheap costume jewelry. (Although I wouldn't be caught dead having my nails done, I think I might've been Puerto Rican in another life. Hey, MaMa) Oops. 'Got carried away, didn't I. |

Cynique: I never bet on sporting events--if I had I would have bet on New England--bad news for you. I was guzzling Port cuz I was feeling GOOD--not everyone is drowinging his or her sorrows when he imbibes-- Sangria ain't got enough bang for the buck for me--what is it usually 5%--dat Port was 18!! |
