Yesterday, I had the pleasure of interviewing Shola Lynch, the director of "Chisholm '72: Unbought and Unbossed", a documentary about Shirley Chisholm's historic run for President in 1972. In 1968, Chisholm became the first black woman elected to Congress. In 1972, she became the first black person to seek a major party's (Democratic) nomination for the presidency.

PBS's "POV" series will feature this film on February 7th (check local listings for times), and the DVD will be released on March 1.
