"Have You Ever Seen the Other Side of Reality?" Beautifulwaterstar (2003) Have you ever seen the other side of reality Where mentality Dictates what you see? Where perception guides every direction consciously? Have you Ever smelled a thought Or touched a sound Have you ever been in a web of love in which pulsating colors surround You? Have you ever seen the other side of reality In which all=all? Everything=everything? Have you ever seen Beings the size of your thumb With auras half the size of the sun? Have you? Have you ever seen the other side of reality Where aging exists not, Where you can paint a reality with perceptions like oil on canvas with thought? Have you? Have you ever looked up in the sky and wondered why That "star" you just saw 2 hours ago in the East Is now in the West? Have you ever seen the other side of reality, Where the living particles of Light introduce you to higher heights? Have you ever shook from your soul As you willed the ancestors to take control And mount you? Have you ever crossed the arch and danced with the celestials Enjoying a festival Of the spirit? You see me, you cannot touch me My word you cannot hear it, You must taste it You simply cannot copy and paste it The only two real obstacles to overcome are movement and mental limitations But even so, what you see on the other side will be ruled by your interpretations And when you reach the other side of reality, Realize that there is another side to that And another side to that And another side to that and so on Pinch your nearest scientist And tell him,"That's one to grow on"... | ||

"Fast Food Reality" ("Invalid Reality") Beautifulwaterstar (2003) "Fast Food Reality" Beautifulwaterstar(2003) Go ahead Explain away my reality Pacify my mind with logic Okay, okay I know the drill 'Cuz you silently drilled it in my head Through mass denial Leaving only spiritual incisions.. Deep.. Deep.. Televised Taken as truth Been walkin' 'round with our hands over our eyes so long, Til we started believin' we were blind.. And at some point We started associating this assumed blindness with "holiness" Yo You remember "Row,row,row your boat gently down the stream.Merrily,merrily,merrily; Life is but a dream."? You spend your whole life believin' it's just some little kiddy song But when you finally wake up AKA die/transcend it's too late to realize it was much more than some little kiddy song; it was a spirit's manual to this reality. From babies, we are taught that we are not seeing what we are seeing, Not feeling what we are feeling We were nurtured with denial;and so we nurture our children with denial We mold their perceptions, Train them to believe that the box is the way, the truth, and the light.. The box, the box, the box.. So what comes of them? Um.. Look around.. Look at society. Meanwhile, other realities remain at once confirmed yet uncomfirmed.. Newsflash: Just 'cuz they can't explain it Don't mean it doesn't exist.. Science.. Science.. Remember it was "Science" that put the "fiction" in the back Science fiction ain't far at all from Science Fact. Beautifulwaterstar, I really LOVED those poems! They were awesome! So skillfully executed!The imagery and the style were pure genius, not to mention the subject matter which was really my cup of tea. I'm always pondering the age-old question of reality, and your verse captivated even as it liberated my imagination, giving words to my unvoiced musings. Edgar Allen Poe once wrote: "All that we see or seem, is but a dream within a dream." You took that idea to another level in a multitude of directions. I pay homage to you. Cynique | ||

Oh you all, PLEEEZZZZZ! I'm "cullid", ah ain't 'posed tah be BLUSHIN'! lololol Yeah, I really like Edgar's stuff. He seems to be quite demented, but atleast he can be creative about it.. If more crazy people wrote poetry then maybe the world would be a better place. lol Lambd, I get it from my soul/mind. Nah, that just sounded "spiritual". The truth, is.. *pause* "I GETTIT FRUM MA MAMA!!" lolol Dang, you sweet. Thank you. Your pieces inspire me, too. ABM, you're always a sweetheart.
