VAMPIRE
by Adeola Adewale

Camping in the forest
With friends and family
Camping in the forest
With friends and family
I’m so happy as can be

Something woke me up last night
With great intensity
It was that old, old creature

I didn’t go near her
SNAP!
But I did get a picture
What could it be?
Oh, what could it be?

Oh what could it be
I said to myself
As I went to sleep

The mystery is not yet solved
Do you know what that
Dark old, old creature could be

The next day my friend looked
at the picture
And said girl you must be crazy
It’s a vampire
SCREECH!!!!
I think it’s
Her

THAT VAMPIRE CAN FLY!
by Adeshola Adewale

I said that vampire can fly
I said that vampire can fly
He flew across that room in a jiffy
That’s what I saw
No he did not, the light was off.
You could only see him till the light was on
He ran to the other side quickly
But I saw him, I saw him
Don’t tell me lies,
that will just get you in trouble
like the last time

VAMPIRES (an acrostic)
by Kiarra Lynn Smith

Vampires lead a lonely life, they never get to play
Always flying on the go, hunting for their prey.
Making friends is difficult, a never-ending task.
Perhaps they get TOO hungry so the friendships never last.
Isn't it an AWFUL thing, they can't go in the light?
Resting in the daytime, only coming out at night?
Even if YOUR life is bad, a vampire's is WORSE
So I think that living as a vampires' a curse.

Vampire Blues Poem
by Kiarra Lynn Smith

Running through the dark woods
My clothes are drenched in sweat.
Running through the dark woods
My clothes are drenched in sweat.
To escape a FIERCE vampire
Before he bites my neck.

I scared him with a dagger
Holy water and the Cross.
I tried to scare him with a dagger
Holy water and the Cross.
But I tried all this in failure
And I felt my life was lost.

The vampire has caught me
And he's thrown me on the ground.
I said the vampire has caught me
And he's kicked me to the ground.
I cry in desperation
But nobody hears a sound.

A flashlight's in my pocket
And it shines as bright as day.
Oh yeah, a flashlight's in my pocket
And it shines as bright as day.
It glows on the vampire.
And he quickly melts away.

My heart felt so triumphant
For I knew that I would win.
My soul felt so triumphant
Cause I finally DID win.
And I know not one vampire
Will EVER mess with ME again!

Vampire Blues
by Kai Anne Tyler

Somebody's talking about me, giving me the blues.
I said, somebody's talking about me, giving me the blues.
I can't stand no gossip,
I don't want to hear that news.

Those rotten people talking about me-
Ain't even true.
I said. those rotten people talking about me,
It ain't even true.
They got me doing bad things-
Ain't even true.
Making me feel so blue.

They make me feel low as a black-eyed pea.
I said they make me feel low as a black-eyed pea.
They said I bit somebody
Making fun of me.
