6:40 a.m.

We gathered
underneath
the perspiration
of our brows.
Our first touch
sends a flare
that burns my hands
into place.

I will freeze if I pull away.

Your scent
is the breath of life
that I have
been searching for
in this vacuum of space
I have called my own.
I will suffocate without it.

The heart beat
you carry
in your bosom
is the ambient sound
that a warrior
hears before battle.
There is nothing that
could inspire me more.
I cannot lose with you by my side.

I await the mo-(u)-rning
with the trepidation
of having to part
with the dark celestial beauty
that you are.
Your return is anticipated
by my dreams and the stars
that have watched us.

When you come back
we will gather
under the perspiration
of our brows,
where our first touch
sends a flare
that burns my hands
into place.

I will freeze if I pull away.

Your love-rituall was exquisitely ethereal, the stuff of hoped-for dreams.
