When she walks, she walks alone. Still she speaks. Like Eve. When she speaks, she speaks with authority. Like the first mother. Still she speaks. When she raves, she is the only one I hear. She was wooed by the devil to tempt man and provoke the hand of the mighty. Even when she was sent away. I could hear her voice still. I heard A woman daily, like a prayer. First softly, and only by a few. And then by a few more. Soon, even her naysayers were singing her praises. She was our first martyr. The voices united and the prayers were answered. Like Eve, she bit the hand that gave her speech and she was banned from the garden. A woman has returned to the garden but the serpent has mated with her tongue. Instead of being still, still she speaks! | ||

Lambd, Well, I think your poems ARE all that and more! I enjoy reading them and I certainly wish that you would share more of your work here. You know you got skills! But a true artist is never satisfied with her/his work, I guess. They continually seek to improve upon the ability to craft the imagined into something tangible; and to seek the ever elusive masterpiece. Now y'all know y'all dun swole my whole head up in here! If Yukio liked it, then it must be alright. I'm bout to cry. Please, the funniest thing in the world is to see a dark-skinned brother blush! I've been on hiatus from instructing for the last couple months, so I've had plenty of time to ride my motorcycle in the hot sun. I'm feeling pretty darned Jamaica black right now. Lambd, Take it easy, playah. I (think) have always been inclined to give credit where it is due. And I honestly find you to be a very clever/creative writer. You have a natural comedic sense that I find most admirable. And since I believe humor to be rest atop the apex of the human esthetic, as it is surely one of the most elusive artforms, I extend a earnest and hearty BRAVO. | ||

I met someone today that I've known for a long time. She spoke to me for the first time in her familiar voice. She was loud but I couldn't hear her. She wrote the most brilliant poem that didn't make any sense. She repeated how she fell in love with me today. I hated that I loved her, too. | ||
