I eat the nothingness
of yearning for a distant fire.
It is her glow that warms me.

Her shining feminine light
quietly calls moths
instead of men.

She nurses the loneliness
of empty words caught in
genuflection at her feet,
Cursed, for I have chosen
to stand upright rather
than prostrate
my will to her comeliness.

I prefer this journey into
the mystery her folds.

I will enjoy the walk...
with an occasional
stumble.

I will want only what I covet.
