Dreamer

Once there was a Dreamer
Once there lived a Man Had a Dream

A Prince of Peace
Son of God was he
A Prophet of Strength to Love

Once there lived a Dreamer
Once there was a Man Had a Dream

Nobel Prizewinner
Had a Heav'ly vision
Of Equality and Brotherhood

Once there lived a Dreamer

But Dreamin wasn't all that he did
He marched and pryaed
All cross this land
To be beaten jailed betrayed
And Ultimately shot and killed

So he's gone but I know he's listenin'
And today I got a question for him

O Dreamer be you still Dreamin'?
O Dreamer, do you still Have a Dream?

Still believe
Slaves and masters sons and daughters
Can sit together in brotherhood?

Marcher
You still steppin for the good
Eyes on the PRize
Singin sweet hymns from above

Lover
You still got the strength to love?
Folks so proud stiffnecked unrepentant
If you can forgive Good Ole boyz
Usin your face for target practice
Then for real
You got love of Steel

Since you died
Violence still as American as Cherry pie
Would you still preach love
Or the fire this time

Hypocrites sell your posters
On the day of your birth
I was there when God help us all \
They wouldn't even let you speak in they church

Maestro

You still conductin a symphony of equality

Prayer

You prayin they stop judgin your grandchildren
By the color of their skin
Healer is you feelin good

When what's ringin from the hilltops of New Hampshire and the Mighty Mountains of New York and the Alleghenies of Pennsylvania and the Rockies of Colorado and the Appalachins and the slopes of California
Is the hate raves of talkradio

Martin

When you look down from the right hand of God Almighty where I know you are today and see

Mammon is religions
And the Truth is a Lie
And the word is get yours I got mine
Show me the cash

Is only the dead free at last

I gotta ask

O Martin
Do you still Have a Dream?
