Kola Boof, my name is Paul Derringer.
I am reading your autobiography and I have to give you credit for making a grown man cry like a baby. It hits very close to home reading about the fact that you were a bedwetter as late as 17 and 18.
It takes a lot of courage to dislose something like that to the whole world, and especially your insecurities and psychological difficulties.
My wife and I are going through that with my son right now, which started after he didn't make the basketball team this year. His grades and everything have been poor. We have him with a head shrink, but it seems very frustrating. As you pointed out in the book, I think my son needs an African-American doctor, but my wife feels that race won't make a difference. I love how you point up that your life improved dramatically after your dad found a black man psychiatrist for you.
I just wanted to tell you what a brave woman you are. I feel terrible about your experiences with men so young and the severe vaginal problems. It's just not something I can imagine commenting on other than I praise your moxie, lady. As evidenced by the time of night I'm writing this, you can see that I haven't been able to put your book down and I just applaud you so much.
Hopefully you and others here have experiences or advice that can provide knowledge or inspiration for a dad caring for a fourteen year old son who bed wets. He's gone through 6 mattresses since the fall. We live in Long Beach, California. My email is paulderringer2@yahoo.com

Well let me see....I come to a board where the author of said books about her life is ACTIVELY cursing out other people on the board and posting pornography at the same time.
This person wants others to view her in the same realm as Alice Walker? I have only been here a few days, and have seen you wildly go from extreme to extreme. You cursed me out the first time I ever posted on this board. And you state that you want people to EDUCATE themselves?
Well, guess what? YOU ARE EDUCATING US. You have educated us that people of the African continent are completely OUT OF THEIR MINDS.
You have educated us that you have been under psychiatric care----and one doesn't miss the point WHY.
I can't imagine Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou or Alice Walker going off on rampages on public boards and using unwarranted profanity and displaying pornographic pictures.
You are COMPLETELY unprofessional and DESPERATELY unhinged.
As I have stated before, I had never heard of you until I came here a few days ago. Your manic and looney behavior and short fuse are absolutely weird and pathetic.
Think of what people would think if Oprah, Maya or Alice Walker were completely unhinged and behaving this way in public?

This Derringer person has the kola glibness and his post certainly is a thinly-diguised plug for kola's book. And, I must say, the testimony about his bed-wetting son going through 6 mattresses is a bit much. Who knows? Who cares? |

Ladies, I don't know the first thing about what you're talking about. By the foul ugliness you responded with, I don't want to.
I poised a sincere and I thought intelligent question. I tried to convey the seriousness of the situation. Urency of it I suppose. I had assumed this was a place where intelligent writer type people like Kola Boof come to post.
Sorry I was wrong. Yes, I think my son is worth it. I would hope every father would care about his son.
If Ms. Boof should come across my messages, I hope that she would take a brief moment to respond, preferrably at the above email.

Well, the Internet has been around for years! Since I am a newby to this site, I wouldn't pretend to know who anyone is.
Fortunately, I do not hang out with my terrorist/rapist friends and therefore, cannot borrow that SUPER-DE-DUPER SPY-O-RAMA COMPUTER that Kola let's her characters borrow from Osama's cave (with this machine, she claims to know and be able to see what others look like).
But after awhile it becomes very evident that when you are "talking" to one, you are talking to that same other.
This woman is pretty sick. It's been fun and giggles! Toodles!
