I'm going to be absent for a while.
I just found out today that apparently there's going to be a public showdown between myself and Osama's sister-in-law Carmen Bin Ladin--and there's nothing I can do to stop it, because the WHITE MEDIA and the "Black MALE Media" are really dying to see me get my ass kicked.
Her book came out last year and basically set the stage for her to try and discredit my experiences with her brother-in-law (she only knew him for maybe a weekend to 5 days---I knew him 6 months).
A "brotha" who writes for EUR-web is already sending around an email stating that he can't wait to see "pretty" Carmen whip that bitter man-hating African bitch's ass.
This is very unfortunate, but of course, whatever she can dish out, I can knock it to the floor.
And the sistas in D.C. who used to wear blow pops in their hair know damned well that this chick is NO MATCH for Kola. Thank you my sistas for making me so tough and bitchy--because it comes in handy.
I imagine that others in Osama's family will attempt to get their digs in as well. I really don't know.
But my sons need a lot of attention, and I don't feel like being drained and zapped by the sudden group of Kola haters who've descended on this board to start the stoning process.
I wrote an excellent book. I wrote it from two places---from my heart and at God's feet.
It is MY TRUTH, as honest and raw as I could compose it. And at the same time, it's "art"---and at the same time---it rises up and honors The Black Woman.
I am neither GOD nor perfect, but at the very core of any and everything I do....is sincerity.
Which is why I have the ability to zapp people so deeply. Because all I do is turn what I FEEL....into a "feeling" that they can FEEL.
My goal is always, always for our people.
I love those of you who support me. Some of you I was able to name in my book during Acknowledgements.
I love you and need you so much...and the only reason that I am able to be an artist..is because you inspire me.
Thank you from the inward floors of my heart.
Not just Carmen and the possible other Bin Ladens...but a ton of people from all corners are about to launch massive "JUMPS" on me...and I have to go away and get prepared.
I may feel different in two days and come back. I don't know. But right now, I am very sad, and have to overcome it...so that I can be competent for my sons....and I have to energize myself to deal with great, great criticism and slander.

Well let me see....I come to a board where the author of said books about her life is ACTIVELY cursing out other people on the board and posting pornography at the same time.
This person wants others to view her in the same realm as Alice Walker? I have only been here a few days, and have seen you wildly go from extreme to extreme. You cursed me out the first time I ever posted on this board. And you state that you want people to EDUCATE themselves?
Well, guess what? YOU ARE EDUCATING US. You have educated us that people of the African continent are completely OUT OF THEIR MINDS.

I can't imagine Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou or Alice Walker going off on rampages on public boards and using unwarranted profanity and displaying pornographic pictures.

As I have stated before, I had never heard of you until I came here a few days ago. Your manic and looney behavior and short fuse are absolutely weird and pathetic.
Think of what people would think if Oprah, Maya or Alice Walker were completely unhinged and behaving this way in public?

#1) Kola IS NOT any of those women, nor does she want anyone to tink she is. It is not very wise to compare her to those women since they have little in common in matters of cultural upbringing, experiences, goals in life, and THE FACT THAT ALL THREE ARE RESPECTIVELY 10-30 YEARS HER SENIOR.
#2) Kola DID always say that some people always expect her to be like whatever they've seen before and that they will like her. And you're proof to that. She's not here to fulfill EVERYBODY's expectations.
#3) If your a journalist in diguise, I'm on to you. Remeber, this is ROXIE. On the record. :P :P |

Kola is a racist cartoon character dreamed up by Chuck Jones and Friz Freleng. Just recently she was revamped and retooled by R. Crumb. Her real name is Angelfood McSpade. In fact you can see her baby pics(before radical facial reconstruction)right here:

It's impossible to read any of Kola Boof's books and not immediately think of Alice Walker, Toni Morrison and Gloria Naylor. The woman is gifted and she certainly brings to mind those women.
In her heydey, Maya Angelou was just as raucous and outspoken as Kola Boof. Let's not forget that Maya Angelous was a "stripper" and a "pimp"--stories she's recounted several times in her autobiographies.
Lastly, more than one person has compared Kola Boof to Toni Morrison. Derrick Bell and the writer of an Africana.Com story are only two that I think of, but I've heard many people make the comparison.
Kola is quite a bit younger and louder than those women. But I think that's her appeal.
I have to agree with my hubby. This mass attacking of Kola is working in her favor.

And, prettybabygirl, I wouldn't be surprised if the real reason kola has gone into hiding, aside from trying to create more interest in her book, is because she's too embarassed for you to find out about the other face of the devious kola boof. And more and more your posts are starting to sound like a blurb for kola's new novel. Well, I won't be buying a copy of this book because I refuse to be a pawn in this marketing ploy. fugiddaboutit. |
