LOS ANGELES - Fox plans to broadcast an interview with O.J. Simpson in which the former football star discusses "how he would have committed" the slayings of his ex-wife and her friend, for which he was acquitted, the network said.

The two-part interview, titled "O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened," will air Nov. 27 and Nov. 29, the TV network said.
Simpson has agreed to an "unrestricted" interview with book publisher Judith Regan, Fox said.
"O.J. Simpson, in his own words, tells for the first time how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible for the crimes," the network said in a statement. "In the two-part event, Simpson describes how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade."
The interview will air days before Simpson's new book, "If I Did It," goes on sale Nov. 30. The book, published by Regan, "hypothetically describes how the murders would have been committed."
In a video clip on the network's Web site, an off-screen interviewer says to Simpson, "You wrote 'I have never seen so much blood in my life.'"
"I don't think any two people could be murdered without everybody being covered in blood," Simpson responds.
Simpson, who now lives in Florida, was acquitted in a criminal trial of the 1994 killings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald Goldman. Simpson was later found liable in 1997 in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the Goldman family.
Messages left with Simpson and his attorney Yale Galanter were not immediately returned.

Uhhhhhhhh....obviously not. That man is pathetic. OJ was an incredible athlete but his character is beyond flawed and rooted in deep narcissism and pathological self indulgence. But what is more disturbing is the ongoing morbid and bizarre celebrity curiosity that allows him to be sought after for television, radio and media interviews and stories. That’s what I don’t understand. And even more strange is the fact that he is not wanting for young white attractive blonds. He is never short on dates and relationships. WTF??!! This is totally disgusting. It is in such bad taste. Not only how low will OJ go but how low could Fox go for ratings. If there was no outlet or people intersted in watching this car wreck, OJ would be a memory, IMO. |

Yes, this is truly one of the more fascinating aspects of this whole nightmare. I cannot explain it. Maybe these are the same types of women who send love letters to jailed serial killers. Maybe they have a "savior" complex and think O is just horribly misunderstood.

And by the way dodo bird (CH) if the gloves didn't fit, he COULDN'T have gotten them onto his hands. I don't know if you've ever owned any leather gloves but you can wash them (in soapy water), and when they dry they shrink up a bit, but they stretch back to their original shape once you put them on your hands again 
So if you believed that lie, you've really got problems.
Did you even watch the trial? Because I watched the entire thing from the time it was a pre-trial. Every single day of it. |

Why are we letting the publisher HarperCollins off the hook? Seriously, whether we believe OJ did it or not it is HarperCollins and Judith Regan that are paying OJ and making this "book" available.
Then again, seeing that the book is currently #27 on Amazon and #30 on Barnesandnoble.com sounds like Harper made a sound business decision -- in the classic, traditional American sense.
The book will turn a profit, and very little will need to be spent on adverting or promotion.
On this one Harper has sold its soul to the devil. But I'm sure this does not come as a surprise. It is ALL about the money. In fact Harper had no soul to sell. They lack a moral center, a consciousness...
This is exacty the reason we need to support our mission driven, independent publishers their book and publishers.
Some people are suggesting we boycott any and everything associated with this book. I not going to go this far. The book has so many supporters (by virture of the number of sales) that no one would be able to build the critical mass to make a boycott of anything, including the publisher, successful.
Personally, from a book selling perspective, I'm going to nake believe this book does not exist.

You didn't watch any of that case. Like a lot of people you THINK you did.
So you believe the police WASHED some gloves that they allegedly picked up at the scene and were intending to introduce as evidence--possibly destroying their value as evidence.
He didn't do it. There was not enough time. He may have had it done and I am sure he KNOWS who did it, which is why the police framed him because they know he knows and he wouldn't cooperate--making you just as guilty in their eyes.
Nicole and Goldman were sliced by some pros. They had their throats cut and their tongues pulled out the wounds--a gangland message that these people were snitches or welchers and everybody else should shut up about it if they know what is good for them.
One guy couldn't have done it. Plus Goldman had wounds on him indicating he'd put up a fight--where were the bruises on OJ?
Where the people on the jury screwed up was in coming back so fast with a verdict--you know how you black women are when somebody has shoved some bullshit in your face (if that don't convince you, nothing will).
They should have done like white folks do--they get back there, agree instantly on the verdict and to stay out a few weeks and come back hung to make it look good.

Chris this would be at least the second time I'm glad OJ would have nothing to do with us Negroes.
Of course, many Black people would have published the book. That does raise an interesting question: Do you think the reaction to the book would have been the same if say, Third World Press (publisher of Tavis Smiley's The Covenant with Black America) published the book?
Mzuri, other than the moment when the verdict was annouced, I did not watch any of the trial. I was unaware however that the victims were given "Sicilian Neckties". If what Chris said is true... Man, I find it hard to believe OJ did that. Most folks are incapable of carrying out that feat on another human. That is some professional ganster sh-t.
While not as bad as slicing someone's throat; Judith Regan's ganster, I'd have to admit, is pretty tight. I mean who sits around and comes up with this nonsence?! "If I Did It, Here's How It Happened..." it takes a special kind of mind...
Hummm, maybe I'll get Michael Jackson to publish a book "If raped a little white boy here is how I'd get away with it" I hope this crap does not become a trend...

TJ - I've always been a wannabe Perry Mason, and because my cable system receives Los Angeles station KTLA - I was able to watch the televised portions of the trial from the very beginning. Starting with when it was a pretrial where a neighbor testified as to what time he heard Nicole's dog barking. And the limo driver who couldn't make contact with O.J. when he was supposed to drive him to the airport that night. And the people who found the dog wandering up the street, took him home, and the dog eventually led them back to the bodies.
I either took off from work to watch or I had a T.V. in my office to watch. Either way, I probably watched more of that trial than any other commoner on earth.
As to the Sicilian neckties - I hadn't heard that was actually done to the bodies. I heard Johnny Cochran make the summation that the killings were drug-related. Okay - Nicole might have been a snitch but what about Ronald? He was an innocent bystander bringing back Nicole's sunglasses that she left at his restaurant.
The killings were drug-related in that O.J. had been getting high with Kato all day, O.J. was high when he supposedly did it, O.J. has had Navy Seal training to prepare for a movie role and so there's no telling what his crazy ass knows. His gloves were cut in the same location as the cut on his hand, his footprints were at the scene.
And yes, the jury found him not guilty which does not make him innocent. He got off on a technicality - evidence improperly handled and a racist cop on the scene. More power to O.J. but I found it odd that the jurors were at O.J's for an "after party" and that he has been treated as a celebrity all these years.
Could someone else have done it? Maybe. But I don't think so. O.J. was a wife-beater and a stalker and he couldn't stand it that Nicole had moved on to someone else. In a way I blame Nicole because she knew the man was crazy and she should have moved far, far, far away.
Anyway, it's been twelve years and we're still discussing O.J. And I'd rather ponder the mysteries of the world, especially how can I pimp more furniture over the holiday season.  |

You are right, Mzuri, for every attempt to prove OJ's innocence there are convincing argments to counter-act the claim that he is innocent. This was such an intriguing sensational case that it lent itself well to theories about shady drug dealings and hit men. And you don't have to be a Sicilian to know how to slit somebody's throat. |

The WAY Nicole and Ron were killed made me doubt O.J. killed them, as well. Or, at least, it makes me seriously doubt he killed them alone.
Had they been simply poisoned or shot, I likely would have been 100% in the "He did it!!" camp.
But I would agree with you the WAY they were killed is suggestive of somekinda professional, gangsta hit type of shyt that's just NOT in O.J.'s training and history. |
