How funny is it that you seem to get Amnesia everytime you write these post. Weren't you the one who bragged about your BM friends who only dated White, Asian, and Latina women because they said that BW were to fat, loud, unattractive, and wore fake hair which they hated.
Didn't you also tell us the story about some co-worker you knew who said her nephews hated BW and only dated White and Puerto Rican women. Alot of these women are "fresh off the boat", and most of there family still live in Mexico, Honduras, China, and Korea. So there family will never know who they are dating or married to. I would like the government to place high taxes on "junk" food and make high-quality, nutritionally dense foods readily availabe and affordable for ALL people --as well as quality health care. And, just as trans fats are banned in Europe, they need to be banned in America as well. These are very real solutions to a very real health crisis.
On a side note, I think it's inhumane to market poison as food, as well as profit from it.

I think this issue is more to do with culture and poverty than anything. I don't know about america but in many parts of the european world junk food is very cheap - which means poorer people are a lot fatter than richer people (ironically).
As african-american women are the most likely to be under, or just on, the poverty this may suggest the reason as to why they are so overweight.
In mexico it is the same thing. More than half of the women there are overweight as junk food is cheaper and more accessible. |

^^^Hmmm...I do get what you mean. I find it rather difficult to comment on as, though I have been to the states several times, I do not live there.
There again the answer could be just a simple one: genetics amongst african-american women. Or the fact that many african-american women use the excuse of being overweight as men liking them 'thick'. And though african-american men like a woman with curves I have never met one who likes overweight women. They still go for the slim girl with curves in the right places/ |
