I don't miss nolandfane or enchanted or igbogirl or renata or the "3-headed hydra" or any of the other usual suspects, but I do miss Tonya because she was the real deal, and she posted interesting articles and hers was a voice that had a right to be heard because whether you agreed with her or not she voiced the views of a lot of black women and the board shouldn't really shun controversy. |

I echo those sentiments, Cynique. One could appreciate that Tonya provoked genuine thought with her comments instead of inciting the usual superficial dribble about who's pretty and who ain't.

Cynique, I think you kinda have love for me, too.  I hope. I saw your picture and all, and it looks like you're doing well for yourself. You skin is clear with not a lot of wrinkles. You actually looked about 5o, 51. So even though I don't post much I do think love should be sent my way.
I think Tonya is pissed at me cause I haven't emailed her yet, but dammnit, I haven't gotten around to it. |

OMG!!! I can't believe you said something positive about ME, Cynnique!! You really DO love me! I knew you did! Could've sworn you did--but still, OH. MY. GOODNESS!!! And Babygirl you too!?!? Lord, I need to go away more often LOL! But seriously though, I'm having portions of my house remodeled and so the computers had to come down for awhile and that's why I haven't been posting lately. I guess they'll be done by this coming Wednesday. They say I need additional rewiring and by the looks of things that's gonna take a minute. They are finished with all of the bedrooms, thank god, so I was able to hookup the upstairs computer where I am now. It's a clutterry mess though. I'll be spending this weekend getting the whole upstairs back in order. It also looks like I'll have to do a whole new paint job; they left marks on the walls. I wasn't expecting to have to paint as well, but oh well, I see now that comes with the territory. *Sigh* Overall though I'm happy with the results. And so I had to check in on you guys to see what was up and, watta ya know, I run into all this sweetness. *Smile* It's like icing on the cake--you guys have seriously made my day. I'll have to have this thread framed, lol. Anyhoo, I can't stay on line for long. I am literally squished between books and furniture; I barely have room to move my arms and type. But this will be the first area that I’ll get in order so I should be able to check back in in a day or so. Until then my friends be good. (Cynnique you know you love me--I have this thread as proof!--you can't deny so admit it!! LOL)

C'mon, now, Mzuri, cut me so slack! First chrishayden, now Tonya. Who I really love is me and mine. But I just had a brainstorm! How about hooking Tonya and chris up? Be a matchmaker for these 2. They'd have a ball hatin on neeegroes. And you could throw serenasailor into the mix for good measure, - good measure as in a 3-way. |
