Why is that even the most conscious black men mainly marry extremely light skinned black women with looser textured hair? That is on the relatively rare occasion when they marry black at all. Is is that there are actually MORE of these light skinned loose haired sisters (Kelis) than there are dark skinned nappy haired sisters (Lauryn Hill)? Even Sticman of Dead Prez is married to a light, bright woman with loosely curled hair. Mos Def's woman could pass for white.
There are some exceptions, like Bob Marley and Malcolm X, who married women who did not look light and mixed.

Nope. Last I heard, chocolate sisters (people) out number light-skinned sisters (people). I'm not sure bat the number I heard had dark-skinned people at 80% or more.
