Posting pictures of gorillas, referring to Africa as "disgusting" and referring to AFricans a AIDS-infected child rapists - that is something a self-loving black individual would post?????? I don't think so.
My picture is posted on here. I am an attractive woman. Yet the self=hating yellow folks on here have called me "ugly" "flat assed" "disgusting" and have compared my appearance to that of a gorilla. And then you same folks wonder why the likes of me, Shemika, Tonya and Brownbeauty think that you are total losers?
However light your skins are, do you not realize that your ancestors are African? To me, this dising of Africa is the ultimate in black self-hate. You're really sad. I think people with attitudes like yours shouldn't be allowed to procreate because its not fair to bring a new generation of black children into this world and then teach them to hate themselves, their African heritage and any person who looks African. |

Renata, that's not true.
Nappy = Kinky or coarse, tightly coiled hair. Relaxer straightens it out, smooths the cuticle down and makes the hair more "managable" hence, freshly relaxed hair has no kinks or tightly coiled curls which means, no naps. In the hairs natural state...yes, nappy but when you process it, the definition of nappy does not apply. |

Having light or dark skin is irrelevant. It is the state of mind of the individual that matters. Skin color is the same rues that whites have used to oppress and limit the quality of life for black people. You need to understand this. Secondly, no one denies their African ancestry. Most black people cannont do so regardless of what they think or believe. IT’S IN THEIR FACES! They can’t hide it. I have never been mistaken for a Vietnamese or a Mexican. I am a black man whose ancestors originated from Africa. I have no problems with this. Never have. UH...relaxing the hair is NOT STRIPPING SHIT, you chemically alter it. I was a stylist for 10 years; I should now. You don't strip shit out of your hair. If you were bleaching hair, then you strip all the color out but relaxer don't strip out shit except moisture. So once you CHEMICALLY ALTER HAIR (are ya with me?) YOU ARE NOT CAMOFLOUGING the kinkness...YOU HAVE ALTERED THE HAIR WHERE NO MORE NAPS EXIST. The only way it comes back is when the NATURAL kinky hair grows out of your scalp. Once hair is relaxed straight that hair does not revert back to nappy, only the NEW GROWTH. Got it???
And for the record....whether you wearing it in a AFro or not when it's CHEMICALLY PROCESSED the fact remains is that you PREFER YOUR HAIR STRAIGHTENED to wear various styles, hence you are NOT HAPPY TO BE NAPPY.

Girl, please, hairstyles ain't that serious for me, but I definitely don't prefer straight hair. It's not straight now even WITH chemicals, and it's been buzzed three times when I got tired of the length. I just texturized this time when my afro was too large to handle....but even that's changing soon.....I found a new natural hairstylist and she's going to hook me up with all of those vegan, purist, grapefruit and tea tree oil products she makes so I won't have to do even that any more. |

Unfortunately, as you peruse this board, you will see there is a "minority" of Negroes who are obsessed with the idea of another black person having a lighter complexion than they do. And because of that (and that alone), they have committed themselves to a tenacious skin color Jihad. Why? I have no idea.
I see blacks every day or are much darker and much lighter than I am. It means nothing to me. They are all black people. Ntfs: Agree100%. You see some folks see being dark - or light - as a negative or positive. I really don't give a damn. Can't anyone tell me SHIT about how I look because of my skin color. Now if I was missing some teeth or if they were rotten or if I have big ole bulging, no blinking eyes with warts on my nose then ok, that probably would affect me but my skin color? Nah.
