Here is another initiative I have been following with my daughters. When I have worked with young people I have found these kinds of efforts to often be very engaging. It is as if children understand what is really important and are more than ready to become serious activists if the adults can find a way to connect these things to children's every day lives.

I really hope this kind of thing catches on. As we have discussed before on these boards, obesity is a huge problem with our young people. Getting families and schools involved too is the only way to stem this problem.

P.S. In the past I have expressed my disappointment with former President Clinton. But with this it seems that he may redeem himself in my eyes! LOL Maybe he'll be like President Carter and end up finding his stride in philanthropy post-presidency.

Sounds like a good idea. But I don't think we're going to get hold of the obesity issue until we look long and hard at what's ACTUALLY in the foods we're eating. And we've GOTTAH find ways to make our kids PLAYING more that do NOT include them whiling and clicking away at colorful electronic images.
