They were wrong about the WMD
They were wrong about Al Quaeda and Saddam
They were wrong about the reception that US troops would be given
They were wrong about how long the troops would be there (Amnesiac Americans, they said it would be 60 days)
They were wrong about what kind of society Iraqis would want afterward.
They were wrong about Iraqi oil paying for the operation, and oil becoming cheaper, and more oil coming out of Iraq
They were wrong about the country breaking up (The Kurds have for all purposes declared an independent Kurdistan)
They were wrong about other nations wanting to come in
They were wrong about the "Coalition of the Willing" staying the course

Yet somehow they are supposed to be right about what will happen to the country after we leave?

What is wrong with this picture?

What's wrong? The fact that major rabid right wing talking heads (Sean Hannity, Michael Regan, Ann Coulter, Oliver North, John Gibson, et al) are still spewing the same “stay the course” and “fight them over there or fight them here” duplicity. And what is more disturbing is the fact that there are millions of Americans who believe them! They still think Bush is right, there should be no oversight or restrictions to Bush’s domestic spying, the world hates us because they are jealous of our freedom and we did the noble and right thing by evading Iraq. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO SINCERELY BELIEVE THIS. They also believe we are in WW III and you are unpatriotic if you criticize Bush or question this misguided so-called war on terror. That's what’s wrong.

You may have something I missed Ntfs:

I may be assuming that they were making a mistake instead of deliberately using falsehoods.
