Thought I'd rub it in for Mzuri and CryMeaRiver.
Yesterday----France's top selling national newspaper "THE FRENCH METRO" (Paris) featured on its front page, for the first time ever---2 Black women.
Those two women were Beyonce and Kola Boof.
Beyonce's was a full page story about "Dreamgirls" and the Kola Boof article was a "teaser" for their SEPT. 11th in depth feature about Kola Boof.
ONLY IN EUROPE---do articles about Kola Boof actually discuss my BOOKS in depth, my political beliefs and my work for the SPLA and my trip to Israel.
Mzuri---I was FORCED to do a professional photo for that one!
I'm also on the cover of POLAND'S top newspaper today.
On SEPT. 11th, I'm featured in Great Britains #1 Black Newspaper----THE VOICE UK, which has an online web site....and also on Sept. 11th, the same Kola Boof interview that will run in the French Metro will run in Greece, Italy, Chile and the Netherlands.
For some reason---I'm much more loved in EUROPE than America.

ABM, I will be headed SOUTH---and you and the wifey are welcome to have a "retreat" and fish with me on my pond any time. I always wanted to build a 4 acre pond and fish whenever I like.
Plus, I love the South.
I'm hoping to get TONYA to appear in my first movie. I wanna catch her on film talking cash shit!

Kola's "looks" are definitely more "authentic" than Beyonce (by far), but both are also technically BIRACIAL, "mixed race" women.
I guess "B's" light skin, light eyes, and flowing weave --BLONDE at that-- are given a black pass cause' it's a "first". How dare "B" be used like that --just like my man Ben Harper with his big, beautiful afro!!!!!! LMAO!

ABM,
I'm trying to think of a film...let's see
"The Beautiful Ones Are Not Yet Born" is set on a lush tropical African island ruled by an already unpopular Dictator (Don Cheadle) who has just decreed that he was visited by jinns and told that his kingdom will prosper if everyone becomes "mulatto". He makes it law (much like Cleopatra's intermarriage law) and begins harvesting European sperm to impregnate young virgins with.
At the same time, a handsome soldier (Idris Elba) who is plotting to overthrow the dictator...has fallen in love with the breathtakingly photographed raven-skinned and topless beauty Princess Ajowa---who, unknown to the soldier is really a "mermaid", and cannot leave her stretch of beach without turning into a hagly 500 year old woman.
Princess Ajowa performs a beautiful traditional love song in the film and has many
The Soldier fights to liberate the island from the dictator and to win the love of Princess Ajowa---they have several dreamy love scenes (as do others in the film).
At the end of the movie, Almighty GOD (Djimon Hounsou) appears to the people from heaven and gives a speech damning the "Dictator" and his lie that GOD wanted them to become mulattoes---GOD reiterates the African story of Bjinu, the warrior who Satan tried to trick by trading him his nappy hair and black skin for a flock of sheep.
The tribes gather round as Soldier and Ajowa marry in a lavish wedding....which fades into the two making love in the sea to the classic Rolls Royce song, "I'm Wishing On A Star"---which is played from a car radio by barefoot African children. Roll credits.
It's like an old MGM foreign legion love story.

The gulf is nice, too. I liked it there a lot...but depending on where you live, you might not like the water. The water on the MS/AL coast is generally very dirty. I lived in Gulfport/Biloxi for two years and NEVER swam in that water...and I LOVE swimming. I didn't even walk in it. |

It's an all black town and has gorgeous
white beaches and plenty of land for me to
build a house and a pond.
