Just curious, any women here ever dated a married man before?

Before marriage, I never did (or would). And if I happened to be single again, I still would not. I don't believe that women should "share" men.

I know this question is directed to the female posters and readers, but I could not resist throwing my penny in the pond on this one. I know many, many women who have (and still are) dated and had affairs with married men. And it crosses all color lines and not exclusive to any particular ethnicity or race (the woman were white, Filipino, black, Japanese, Latino, et al –it didn’t matter) . The problem I have with this behavior (dating men who are married or in a relationship) is that women constantly howl and screech about men being dogs and animals for cheating. I’m not saying that men don’t because any one with a brain and a heartbeat knows this is true.

But the problem is this; Men get all the full blown notoriety and credit for serial cheating and women don’t. Yet they are totally compliant and willing partners in this supposedly immoral and lascivious behavior. Don’t think for one second that the woman your man is cheating with does not know about you. More than likely, she does!

I have had numerous personal friends who have told me the women they were cheating with knew they were married or in a relationship. They told me they told the woman point blank they were married and had children. Still the women were on board with these elicit affairs. And just about an equal number of women I know of have had an affair or relationship with another woman’s man while knowing that the man was in a relationship at some point in their lives. They may not do it now but they have done it in their life. How do I know? They told me.

I had a personal friend tell me last week about breaking up with her boy friend. I had not talked to her in 5 to 6 months. The last time I talked to her she told me the police were scheduled to escort him to her home to get the rest of his clothes and personal goods the next day. They had broken up and that was that. Done deal. Yet when I talked to her this past Thursday, she told me they had just broken up and she was tired of his ass. Duhhhhh...??? THE GUY WEIGHTED 400 POUNDS, HE HAD NO JOB, DID NOT WORK, SHE PAID ALL HIS BILLS AND HE ATE $800 A MONTH IN FOOD THAT SHE BOUGHT! WTF?????

Then she told me his girl friend (that he was living with) called the her and they had it out about who he really loved with the “He’s my man –not yours bitch” drama over the phone! Another friend I know of was in such a convoluted grotesque relationship with a guy that I could not write about it since it would sound like total fiction it was so bad. It involved multiple women (they all knew about each other –even cried and whined about him to each other!) that were all part of his own personal concubine. It was so bad, she was in therapy and nearly fell completely apart. This woman is a professional who works in the medical field, has two masters degrees and just bought a new home. But yet she could not leave this guy although she knew he was sexually and romantically involved numerous women.

I was in a relationship with a woman in 1999 and it ended exactly one year later. We still remained friends. She became involved with a married man later in December of 2000. When I asked her about why she was involved with a married man, she mumbled some incoherent rationalization. Now, the only reason I mentioned this is because this same woman would rant about how she despised men who cheated. She never passed up the opportunity to tell me how she thought men who cheated were dogs. Why? Because at one time she came home unexpectedly and caught her fiancé in the bed with another woman. She was devastated by the affair and understandably broke the engagement off. When I reminded her of what had happened to her and how she felt, she gave me a lame cavalier justification for what she was doing.

Another woman I know of was involved with a married man. She lives in San Diego and made trips up to San Francisco for clandestine trysts with this guy. I asked her point blank; “Does it bother you to sleep with another woman’s husband?”. She looked me dead in the eyes with a blank expression and replied; “No. Not really.” That was that.

But enough of these sordid tales of infidelity and cheating with the other man. I have many, many more. One is particularly worse than the others since she knew the woman personally as a friend and would sneak over her friends house to sleep with her husband after the woman left for work in the evening. She told me all the details while laughing about it.

My point is this, why is that woman attach themselves to married men and men who are in relationships, yet these same women have no problems calling men cheaters and dogs for doing the exact same thing? And I’m not suggesting in every single case, the women who are being cheated on by men know about each other. That’s not true. However –in most cases they do know!

So, can any of the women readers answer the question of why men are labeled as genetic cheating dogs while people tend to turn their heads when women are equally culpable and guilty?

NTFS - Because no one wants to admit that women are bigger dogs than men could ever hope to be.

Ntfs,

It's much EASIER to get p*ssy after you marry than before:

@ A lot of chicks these days want to be able to use men to their convenience.

@ Some figure if some woman thought enuff of'em to marry him, maybe he's worth something.

@ Married men are typically wealthier than single men.

@ And some chicks get off on the notion of taking or stealing some woman's husband.

Guys I know who cheat on their wives make it a point to opening and blantant acknowledge they're married to women they seek to cheat with. And more that half the time, the shyt works.

Shut up, ABM!! :-) I would NEVER EVER look at a married man. When I hear that a man has a girlfriend, I automatically lose interest. Wedding vows are sacred. Karma is a bitch.

I agree. Karma is a bitch
I don't want some other woman's leftovers anyway. A married man can't do anything for me, but point me to a single one.

I was seeing a guy who was still wth his girlfriend but we were 18 at the time so I didn't take in how serious it was.

I felt terrible and I still beat myself up about it. There is nothing sexy or exciting about it after you sit down and have a firm word with yourself about what your doing. The strangest thing is that both female and male friends didn't think it was any big deal because we 'were made for eachother'.

Never again thogh. Because I firmly believe in karma.

My old best friend and I shared a guy before,(he was my first) and remained best friends for years while knowing he was messing with the both of us. Eventually, it destroyed our relationship in the very end.

Ya know, I actually seen a talk show years ago -in fact I believe it was Oprah when she did Maury Povich type shows (that's how long ago it happened). She had women on her show who actually preferred dating married men. One woman stated that the reason she dated married men was because she was sick and tired of the drama and disappointment of the dating scene and single men in particular. She stated: "When he's not with me, I know he is at home with her. I got tired of wondering where the single guy was and who he been with". This way, I always know where he’s at. It was sad.

The same reason it is 'okay' for a woman to hit a man and not vice versa.

Cheating, male or female, is usually wrong and has very little justification most of the time.

True, BB123. There's an old blues song with the line, "Lady, your husband's cheating on us..."
