Jamie Foxx was on 106th and Park today talking about the B.E.T. Awards kiss with Fantasia. He talked about how they decided to do it, and then added that he also loved it because when you watch tv, you always see the light skinned stringy haired girl, you don't get to see the real chocolate sista up there (getting kissed). |

Kola, I did not mean to sound insensitive. That was not my intention. I apologize if I came across that way. The subject was very trite and that was what I was responding to. Trust me, I have no interest in being insensitive to the problems and hurtles that black women face. I was raised by three wonderful black women (mother, grand mother and auntie) who will be part of me until I die. So I have no interest in relishing negative issues that black women face.

He came rolling up to me and I was like, "Get back, Ooompa-loompa man." But within a week he was dating one of the most popular seniors on campus--a woman who towered over him. (He was a freshman.) Folks (including other sisters) were...intrigued to say the least. And girlfriend wasn't talking. I was born in '84, and remember seeing him for the first time in '87 or '88 in "Smooth Criminal". That's when I fell in LOVE with him, I literally thought I was going to marry that man when I reached adulthood. I fooled myself into thinking he was waiting for me to grow up, so he could marry me.
Michael Jackson's sweet behavior made up for him in other areas, because when he went into his performer's mode, there was nothing gay or feminine about it at all. And he was so good at it.
