i don't like to play the light skin dark skin "game", but there is something ive noticed. many times when i see a light skin girl and she is the only (or one of the only) light one among a group of darker or brown skin females it seems to me that they are the one with the loudest mouth and the worst additude. many times have i seen the sole "light skin" girl playing the role of the toughest, "im not gonna take nobody disrespecting me", female in the group. some of the nastiest, rudest females i have been around have been the "sole" light skin girl in the group. i think they are trying to like "make-up" for something they feel they lack (whether or not this is true is up for debate).
i also notice that the light skin girl always seems to date the biggest, blackest, (i mean nothing by the blackest, im brown skin, but i see this often), most thuggish, most ignorant black man they can find. anyone else observed this, or have an opinion about this?

Certainly during the "black is beautiful" hey day in the 1960s, many light people went overboard in trying to prove they were down with the movement. This need to overcompensate probably still exists today to some degree. And back in the 60s, I always suspected that a lot of the mixed-looking zealots liked to shock people by fully embracing their blackness and that they also basked in the approval and admiration of their darker-skinned cohorts.

The first couple of females with whom I as a teen began to become intimately involved were VERY lightskinned. I mean, now that I think about it, those chicks might have been able pass. And they were very sexually AGRESSIVE. Initially, I thought that they were simply freaky-like-that. But now that I think about it, I do kinda think that part of their aggressiveness was born from their desire to prove to the rest of us blacker foks how "bad" they were.

"Oh God! Will this ever end....???????????????"

Ntfs, isnt it funny how when ANYBODY says anything negative about light skin females you'e "sick of hearing it?" BUT when people make negative comments about darker women, you see it as an "interesting" observation? If you're so tired of hearing about light skin vs. dark skin then why the change in attitude when it's darker women being talked about?

there have also been tons of threads in the past that hated on darker women, claiming that they were either jealous of light skin women or that they hate light skin women. Yet i dindt see you claiming you were tired of hearing THAT crap.

When someone is tlaking aobut light females you always have something negative to say about the topic but if similar things are being said about darker females you're ready to give an in depth response without all the negativity. It seems you NEVER get tired of hearing darker black weomen degraded and talked aobut in a negative way.

Do you notice this about yourself? Just wondering because i really dont think you do.

In the post below, when doberman was claiming that the darker black women are the worst their atittudes are you gave a "credible" and in depth response with absolutely no negativity in it.

doberman said:

”Here in Southern California, I frequently see the nastiness in the attitude(s) of darker-skinned black women with stronger Negroid phenotypes as opposed to any other group of so-called black women, regardless…………… the time to deal with the unwarranted arrogance and intentional disrespect that they demonstrate to others. Too bad, it's their problem, and their's alone.”

and then ntfs said:

"Wow! That’s interesting. I live in SoCal and I have heard this before. I can’t personally confirm it because I really don’t get out and do the social thing often. But I have heard a number of brothers bitterly complain about black women’s behavior, their physical appearance and their attitudes. Some of it focused on dark complexioned, light complexioned and black women across the board. I guess it all boils down to ones personal experiences."

Caprical, Doberman didn't say that. He's a cool guy. Another poster had made that response.

And I've made the exact same observation as well coming from quite a few male posters.

Caprical, there's defintely a bias. And if you happen to challenge it then some of the particular males will unfairly harass & ridicule you in future threads.

Ooooooohhhhhh boy….here we go again. My comment; "Oh God! Will this ever end....?" applies quite nicely to what you have written. Have any of you ever taken A reading comprehension courses in your life? Just curious. Or do you just randomly pick certain posts that you do not like and accuse the writer of something that was not said nor implied? I wonder…..hmmmmmmm.

Ntfs, isnt it funny how when ANYBODY says anything negative about light skin females you'e "sick of hearing it?" BUT when people make negative comments ……………then why the change in attitude when it's darker women being talked about?

First of all, it is very obvious that you and I have very different convictions and beliefs. You (along with a few others) seem to be fixated and obsessed with the skin color of other blacks. This is where the divide begins. You are very comfortable and quite happy about creating divisive groups and categories of blacks based on skin color –not political or philosophical beliefs or behavior. Just skin color and skin color alone. You take immense glee in dichotomizing blacks into separate camps based on your own purity melanin index. I have no idea what the purpose of this is and what your goal is, but from what I see, it is dangerous, counterproductive and a recipe for intra-group disaster. Are black people as a group not fragmented enough for you? Do you feel the need for more divisions and increased group rivalries? Between you and I (and those who think like you), which one of us is really advocating more tension and antagonism within the black race? Me? I think not. I see black people as black people. I have no use nor desire to separate, judge, categorize and establish an ordinal ranking based on the skin color. All of my black friends and associates very in color but to me, they are simply black people. I know such thinking is offensive and unacceptable to you and a few others, but that is the way I see it. I have never had the desire nor need to separate them into distinctive separate categories based on their skin color. That is something you have a driving need to do. Not me.

…”there have also been tons of threads in the past that hated on darker women, claiming that they were either jealous of light skin women or that they hate light skin women. Yet i dindt see you claiming you were tired of hearing THAT crap.”

Secondly, I don’t recall any ongoing numerous threads denigrating and criticizing black women for not other reason than having dark skin. If you know of such posts, where dark complexioned black women were being dismissed or ridiculed because they had dark complexions, please post those commentaries. I would love to see them. And for the record, I have never, ever in my life criticized nor made derisive comments about a woman simply because she was dark complexioned. I may have made harsh comments about other things, but skin color –whether it was light or dark, was not a criteria in itself for negative comments or judgment! Sorry my dear, but you have confused me with someone else.

“When someone is tlaking aobut light females you always have something negative to say about the topic but if similar things are being said about darker females you're ready to give an in depth response without all the negativity. It seems you NEVER get tired of hearing darker black weomen degraded and talked aobut in a negative way.

Tsk…tsk…tsk….tsk….Oh boy. Again, you have confused me with someone else. I should have seen this in the very beginning. Another case of mistaken identity. One more time: PLEASE RESEARCH THE BOARD AND POST ANY COMMENTARY THAT I HAVE MADE THAT CRITICIZES BLACK WOMEN FOR BEING DARK COMPLEXIONED. CAN YOU DO THAT? I will await your response.

Do you notice this about yourself? Just wondering because i really dont think you do.

No. I don’t notice. Why? Because I don’t do it! How could I possibly notice behavior that I do not indulge in? Makes no sense.

”In the post below, when doberman was claiming that the darker black women are the worst their atittudes are you gave a "credible" and in depth response with absolutely no negativity in it.”

Hmmmmmm……I’m not exactly sure what you were attempting to say. The wording was….well…somewhat abstract and not very clear. IMO. But anyway, let’s take a look at this terrible color-struck-dark-complexioned-hatin’ post I wrote. Let me break it down and explain every sentence to you;

"Wow! That’s interesting. I live in SoCal and I have heard this before. I can’t personally confirm it because I really don’t get out and do the social thing often.”

Here I simply stated that I live in SoCal. This is a fact. There was some hubbub about dark complexioned women having bad attitudes. I stated that I had heard this before from other brothers (which is true). I then stated that I personally could not confirm if the perception of dark complexioned women having negative attitudes, was true since I don’t really get out in the dating/social arena. I NEVER SAID IT WAS TRUE –I STATED I COULD NOT CONFIRM IT! No where did I say it was true or that dark complexioned women had worse attitudes than any other group of women.

”But I have heard a number of brothers bitterly complain about black women’s behavior, their physical appearance and their attitudes.

Here I simply stated that I have heard brothers criticize black women for a “number of reasons”. NO WHERE DO I MENTION DARK COMPLEXIONED BLACK WOMEN AS THE CORE OF THE CRITICISM! It was black women in general –not exclusive to any particular skin color group!

And here are the final nails in the coffin for your ridiculous and misguided groundless accusations:

Some of it focused on dark complexioned, light complexioned and black women across the board. I guess it all boils down to ones personal experiences."

I SIMPLY STATED THAT THE CRITICSM I HEARD WAS DIRECTED AT BLACK WOMEN ACROSS THE COLOR BOARD! NO PARTICULAR SKIN COLOR WAS ANY MORE GUILTY OF A HAVING A POOR ATTITUDE THAN ANOTHER! NO WHERE DID I FOCUS ON BLACK WOMEN WITH DARK COMPLEXIONS. Done deal! Case closed. E’nuff said.......
