I don't know how many of yall are actually interested or even watced the BET Awards but they were good this year.... All except the host... Damon Waynes... He's funny on his show but put a damper on the awards. He wasn't funny, he hardly had anything to say. And was it me or did anybody else notice how he seemed drunk and unaware of what was going on.

The performances were great though. Beyonce opened up the show, and as usual, shut every R&B singer in there down... She was true entertainment with her dancing, and her vocals were great.... Mary, Busta, Chaka.... they all were good. Keisha Cole was a disappointment. She started strong but looked like she was going to collapse once she reached the stage. She looked so tired and out of breath....

Athough they did have some sound problems during T.I.'s performane and Diddy's, overall it was a good show. Prince came out actin a fool on stage, which is what i love. Janet was there lookin good. And did ya'll see Jamie kiss Fantasia, that was shocking.... I can't wait to watch it again Friday.... What do ya'll think???

You said it all, Babe. And, yeah, I was wondering why Damon Wayans who was suppposed to be the host was conspicuously absent for most of the night. I was surprised to see how great Ralph Carter looked when he joined his "Good Times" co-stars for an onstage reunion. I'd heard he had AIDS. Prince has become a paraody of Prince. And I continue to be amused by all of those rappers thanking God for helping them to besmirsch the women who are thanking god for helping them to shake their booties and struggle through live vocalizing. Aaah, the life of a hip-hopper!

Thank you. I thought I was the only one who felt that way. The hypocrisy let alone the depravity of these so-called gangsta rappers is sickening. And to hear anyone defend these purveyors of violence, ignorance , misogyny and enthusiastic self degrading buffoonery is equally sickening.
