Racism Is The Reason Why The Black People In New Orleans Suffer

Beloved, Is not the purpose of your eyes, are to see? is not the purpose of your ears are to hear? is not the purpose of your tongue to speak/taste? is not the purpose of your nose to smell, is not the purpose of your hands are to touch/feel? is not the mind to give meaning to all of the body senses?
Then beloved, I warn you to use that which you are equipped with, which are call the body senses, so that you may stop being deceived.
It is Time for Black Folks to Think again and do so for the protection of yourselves, the tragedy that now visit New Orleans residents come from a lack of use of the body senses defensively and such cause one to believe and not Think about the things and events that affect and involve one life, thus we have the out come of what we are witnessing today in New Orleans, Mississippi and Alabama.
It is a fool who do not learn from the mistake one make in life and for over 300 hundred years we have been acting a fool and so the results that come from foolish decisions is what you see that has happen to the people in New Orleans, Mississippi, Alabama and to Black Folks throughout america, regarding Black Folks condition and status, which is homeless and mentally and physically poor.
Beloved, anybody, and I do not care who it might be, if they tell you that Racism is not the motivation behind the death, suffering and destruction of Black people in New Orleans, Mississippi and Alabama and america in general and you not call them on such an insult to you, then we deserve all of the suffering we can muster out of america, a society that is Racist to the core.
A society is a reflection of its leadership and the True leadership are those in power to make decision for that society and in america that power and the semblance there of, is white and Rich, and Racism is about power and control.
So I ask, what do you expect Colin Powell, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, your primary main leaders to tell you about Racism in america, not one Damn thing that is True.
Sure economics is a contributing cause to the death and suffering of most Black Folks found in the corridor of the path that Katrina took. Is not poverty and the lack of economics among Black Folks, attributes of the Racism that is the cause of such inefficiency?
Tell me, where was Powell standing on the Durban issue, where do Jesse and Al stand on the issue of Reparation, two issues that carry the odor of Racism?
So I ask, do I have to make a case of Racism to you Black folks in america? If I do, then we Black Folks are doomed in america.
Beloved, whenever you hear so call Black leaders making a statement against Racism being america motivation when it come to Black Folks and when you hear of anybody stating that Black folks can assimilate our way into power in america and change the evil of Racism in america, then know, such a sign is that which come from the enemy of Black Folks, whether it be in america, the rest of the Diaspora, Europe or in Afrika, they are all enemies of Black Folks and is a liar and a deceiver, because if they are smart enough to try and mask the evil of Racism and its presence, and give cause to something else for the reason we suffer and is dying under the hand of powerful white folks, know that they are either an educated fool or an agent of the devil, they that practice evil and life misery against Black Folks.
Also let me say this to you my beloved, if you fail to recognize evil, you give it power to destroy you.
Evil is not based on how you perceive it to be, it is based on a pattern of behavior that has been established by those who practice it against you my beloved, and it is the biggest lie that has ever been told to you if you accept such a flawed notion that what we see in people is what we are.
I see evil and destruction of Black Folks in those that created the institution of Chattel Slavery, does that make me to be evil in order to be able to recognize it? If I see the behavior of Racism emanating out from the attitude and behavior of white folks of power does that make me to be a Racist, how pitiful, sad, and shameful deceitful toward our own people have we become and yet we Black Folks act as if we do not have a Mind of our own.
I say to you beloved, it is Time for you to make those poor excuses for being your Black leaders, accountable to you, and not that devilish white man as they are today as I speak.
Your goal must become to reject america, not to try and change it, hell, we have had over three hundred years to try and do that, so in order to take on such a monumental task you first need power and authority to do so and anybody that tell you that you can slip your Black self into the power structure of white folks without them knowing what you are trying to do, those who tell you such, they really is unaware of the fraternal structure of that white power and the evil that maintain it.
What Black Folks would want to change america, which imply that the way it is treating you is not to your liking, when you can go where you belong and work to raise a once great Nation of your own kind, in a Land that you were given charge over?
In america there are two societies, one white, Racist and powerful, while the other is Black powerless and victims of Racism, so I say to you Black Folks on the ground, you be the judge as to what is the cause and motivation behind such neglect that have left thousands of Black Folks dead and destitute, crying, shelterless and hungry, is it economic deficiency and not Racism or is it both, Racism spawning economic deficiency, you be the Judge and not some bought our weak leadership of ours.
It is Time we take responsibility for our own Black Life again and get into an environment that will allow us to become powerful, with authority to make decision for our own life, with Prejudice.
You Shall begin to know the Truth again, because such will lead you to your Liberation, with your Enslaved Ancestors Reparation, back Home in Afrika!!!

Doesn’t he/she know that racism/colorism/classism/sexism benefits black people too (those of the right color, gender and/or mindset)?
Some of us fetch a rather robust crumb for playing the “safe” Negro.
And some of us don't.

I agree. Just another pathetic rant by someone playing the race card. Yes, the playing field in America is not even and racism does exist. But this guy should have been around in 1970. He would fit right in with his nationalistic race railing and sophomoric regurgitations. Read Douglas Brinkley’s book, "The Great Deluge" for a very detailed and scholarly researched account of the Gulf Coast and new Orleans debacle. He fairly points out the failures and ineffectiveness of the local, state and federal government. He holds Bush and FEMA’s feet to the fire for their failures. This guy is just another misguided black nationalist revolutionary wannabe. |

I don't think the “race card” should be played here either. Wealth distribution in New Orleans is clearly on the basis of color - dark, light, ect. I'm still trying to figure out why ALLLLLLL of the black Katrina victims were dark-skinned. Nobody has answered that one successfully...not even my man Eric Dyson (whose use of the term “safe Negro” I barrowed).

Is this guy suggesting we move to Africa? Like we'd be welcome 'in masse' returning to Africa? Or . . . is he talking about a visit to improve our outlook? Yes, it's good to be in an environment where there are a lot of black people, but they aren't really ours, and we're not really there's. It's like visiting a distant relative in a different state - different roots, different problems, different game altogether. |

Anyone who's spent ANY significant time in pre-Katrina New Orleans (beyond Burborn Street) knows dayamwell there was(and likely still is) a skintone caste system going on down there. And those foks weren't even subtle about the shyt.
And McWhorters is a fairly LIGHTSKINNED brother himself. So now, I'm not saying. But I'm just saying... |

I disagree. Everyone who lived there was aware that the city lies below sea level and that it was susceptible to flooding. Once they were warned to move out, everyone should have raised up. And perhaps had enough foresight to have a Snickers bar in their pocket.
City official should have had an evacuation plan in place for the elderly and infirmed. But that didn't happen.
How long are ppl going to talk about who shot John and woe is me. What difference does it make? The mayor already told the NOLAs that they'd better get off their duffs and get it together - for themselves. If they're smart, they'll relocate. |
