some of my friends and i where discussing women we thought where hot celebrities. then as always we came to a point to where we had to say ..ok who's your top ten? then to make it a little more challenging we split it into four groups black, white, hispanic, and asian. for asain only person we could think of on the spot was lucy liu. we even tried to throw brooke burke in the mix but we couldn't even come close to filling out a top ten roster. next where the mama sitas ..we came up with eva mendes, selma hayek, rosalynn sanchez, rosario dawson, eva langoria, jessica alba, jennifer lopes, and shakira ...still weren't able to reach a ten spot. next came the sistaz of course there was halle, beyonce, alicia keys, gabrielle union, then the names stopped coming to us so quickly i think christina milian and mariah carey where mentioned but i know that it wasn't ten of them that we could come up with. and when it came to the white girls all sorts of names flew out, it was easy to fill the top ten and have some extra names. it was easy for us to do this because everytime that we turn we turn on a tv,look at a magazine, or even google the word celbrity you'll see like 30 white women before you see a woman of another color.
there are women like drew berrymore, cameron diaz, and jessica love hewitt who keep finding jobs and they aren't anymore talented (definitly not attractive) than some of the lark vorhess, stacy dashes, nia longs, angela bassetts, etc. but they get work every time you turn around. i know that hollywood is dominated by white america but is it all possible for more than just a handful of women of any color to get proper footing in the ground starlettville. do you think if they perhaps supported one another the way that white women support julia roberts the playing field would be more level? i'm just wondering, because even though my friends and i arent the type to sit around and watch tv all day, nor are we the table of enlightenment ... we found it pretty bad that when we added up all the ethnicities we still could come up with more white girls without even trying than all the others combined. |

rosario dawson is jsut like christina millian, both are black latinas.
but you do raise alot of good points in this thread. whites get work all the time whereas they tend to use the same black females for jsut aobut every movie. if it's not halle then it's beyonce in a movie. |

I seen some pictures of Nia Long with L'il Bow Wow but all this movie screen magazine fan bushwah disgusts me so I won't share them with you peons. |
