Do you think it's okay for married men to frequent strip clubs for lap dances from attractive naked women? Is it okay as long as there is no sex of any kind involved?

I think it's wrong. And if I had a husband, who went to strip clubs for lap dances I'd divorce him.

BB123: "Do you think it's okay for married men to frequent strip clubs for lap dances from attractive naked women"

Would you prefer that they be UGLY naked women? Hahahaha!!!

I can understand why someone would not like one's spouse to frequent strip joints. But hey. Whatever foks choose to do in their marriage is THEIR business.

I don't think it's right for married men (and women) to frequent strip clubs. I think it's unhealthy for any long-term relationship because it can create a sexual desire within that is, often times, too hard to control. Eventually, looking will not be enough. And fulfilling that fantasy will, in most cases, destroy the relationship.

If I ever found out my husband was going to strip clubs, I would have an extremely hard time respecting him. I would definitely think of him differently.

it depends if the guy is going like every other blue moon or going all the time. most guys that i know who are married don't go all the time like that because they have to be alot more responsible with their money, hell most single guys that i know don't go to them either. i think if you can go to a strip club, dance club, or bar and everyone knows your name and you don't work there or a friend or family member doesn't own the place ...then you've got problems. but then again, if i had a wife who was a beotch who made me feel trapped, turned into grimace (of mcdonalds fame) or if i was a lonely sonamabitch.. then i'd be there everynight waving singles like a fan.

Hell no it's not okay for them to do that. Once they got married they forfeited the right to be sexually satisfied in any way.

Strip clubs are a haven for babyboomers on the brink of their mid-life crises. Let em enjoy looking at the hotties on the pole. Turning this into forbidden fruit just makes it all the more enticing.

Strip clubs are for tricks. You should ensure your man is not a trick before you marry him. If a man goes every once in a blue moon with his boys or something, that's different. But if he goes on a regular basis to drop his paycheck on the dancers, then he's nothing but a big ol' trick.

Of course not. I have some friends who are more worldly than I and they told me all about it. Plus I saw something about it on television many years ago. Regardless of how I acquired my knowledge about men being tricks, any man who frequents the gentlemen's clubs does not place much importance on his family or his finances. Only a fool would go and spend up all their hard-earned money buying table dances and fake champagne.

Mzuri,

I agree.

I've NEVER been the stripclub, table-dancing patron. I’ve only been to a stripclub 3 or 4 times in my life (and I was coerced into that by other men).

Ain't moralizing, though.

I've just never been very much into being around nude women that I can't (and wouldn't want to) at some point laywood to.

That's sort of a gentleman's agreement my Roscoe and I made awhile back.

I can neither admit nor deny whether I have any respect for Roscoe, but I can state that I wasn't laughing at Roscoe, I was laughing at the fact that you named him Roscoe, and that you chose the name Roscoe as opposed to something more sophisticated.

1) Any ladies (married or single) ever gone to a "Chippendales"-type show? Why or why not? And is that the same thing? Would any women attend strip clubs *with* their man? Why or why not? And what if men go to watch but don't offer $$ to the performers?

2) It is my opinion that men should not make "agreements" with parts of their anatomy. To paraphrase an old Army saying: "This is my brain, this is my 'gun' [insert, "roscoe"]; This one's for thinking, this one's for fun"... (LOL)

3) DM23, don't avoid the topic of marriage for too long: A man in his 20s and 30s running from marriage is often viewed as a cad, but a good potential catch; A never married man in his later 30s, 40s, and beyond is often viewed with some suspicion. (Even disgust?) Don't worry, brugh, g'on and drink the kool aid! (LOL)

Mzuri,

Why "Roscoe"?

"Main Entry: ros·coe
Pronunciation: 'räs-(")kO
Function: noun
Etymology: probably from the name Roscoe
slang : HANDGUN
"

I should think the inference here to be fairly apparent.

Yvettep,

Thanks for getting the 'gun' inference (that Mzuri apparently missed).

But, no, 99% of my thinking is performed by the head that resides atop my neck. But Roscoe's gottah have his say ever now/then. Otherwise...somebody's gone get shot up (that is, if she's LUCKY).

I dare you to admit to DM23 that if a guys never married by, say, 35, most foks pretty much figure he's a f*g.

george cloney, puff daddy, brad pitt, jamie foxx and the list goes on... are a bunch of dudes that hit the 35 mark or passed it without settling down. i am going to hit the big "29" this year ... i love my lifestyle technically i don't have to answer to anybody, my girl won't be getting iced until she finishes that nursing degree of hers. besides i've heard so many stories about marriage ... i don't even know if i'm feelin that. (at least not without a prenump)

Yeah, I've been to a few with my girlfriends. It's ok, I'd rather just stare at a man's butt in spandex or something LOL ! After a while, I get bored. Don't care if my sig other goes to a strip club.

DM23, unless you are "george cloney, puff daddy, brad pitt, jamie foxx" I wouldn't count on their marriage delay actions workin out for you. But on the other hand, hooray to you for supporting your significant other's higher education goals!

Jackie, I'll have to tell you about the time I went to one of those shows (I think it was called "Chocolate Thunder") and saw one of my high school teachers in the front row waving around singles like a mad woman. Very. Very. Disturbing...

ABM, you're a mess!

I went to a strip show with my girlfriends. This guy took off a pair of underwear (he must have had on 3 or 4) and slung them. They landed on my chair practically touching my shoulder which is connected to my neck which is connected to my face! Disturbing - All I could think about was 'cooties'. I've never gone to another one. If my guy wants to go with friends on occassion, that's ok, but I'm with the rest of you ladies. Who wants 'a big ol trick'?
