so i saw the vh1 special about video girls in hip hop. i honestly must say that i actually felt sorry for the "uncut" video girls. the regualr hip hop chicks had me laughing as they sort of looked down on the "uncut: meaning borderline nude" girls. whether they where uncut or just hip hop video girls they still did the same thing. i think the only difference is, is the actual rapper. when i seen ludacris, nelly, or some of 50 cents videos these where some of the same chicks who had the nerves to diss the "uncut girls"... and trust me that was definitly uncut stuff in those rappers videos.
i then listened to the argument about how these hip hop girls set a bad example for black women, which in some regards i think is true but at the same time, most black women that i know aren't hardly like those girls i see in those videos. that comment would also mean that when the white, asian, and hispanic girls are in these videos (which might i ad, i am seeing alot more of in the rap videos) would set a bad example for their entire race too.
anyways the part that made me feel sad for the uncut video girls is that they worked all day to be in this low budget rappers video, basically got pimped by the strip club owner they worked for, and didn't get paid a single cent. their reply was it made them feel like they where somebody and that a couple of them think that they have to use this as a platform to get ahead in life. i guess if you didn't see it you should check it out sometime, pretty good piece ... i guess it sort of gives u something to think about.

It's discouraging to see that type of stuff. I get mad at rap artist for objectifying women like that, but then, I blame the women for allowing themselves to be exploited like that. I mean, have some damn self-respect! Y'know!?
They just perpetuate the typical "fast ass" stereotype placed on black women. |

The B-side that was featuring these video hoochies. We were watching some video whereby chick had a$$ all spread out. And you can see that somebody was a couple weeks pastdue for her bikini wax.

Yep Kenology, They ain't tryin to hear it though. It's like their claim to fame. I'm sure they will feel the same way you (or most of us) do when they are grandmothers.

These women don't really make BW look that bad. Most of the girls in the videos aren't even black. They are White, Asian, Latina's and Bi-racial women. You darker skinned black women aren't even being represented. So there is no real reason to complain. |

I don't mind if a woman doesn't want to shave, wax, or whatever. That is a personal choice--just don't come to the pool or beach without doing something. shyt. It disgusts me to see unshaved arm pits and pubic hair climbing like ivy out of a bathing suit bottom. It's pretty gross!
