Yes, we watch it regularly in our house. It has gotten "deeper" lately--less comedy and more drama. Not sure how all that will be resolved next season, but we'll see how it shapes up. One of my favorite storylines is Maya and her family's. I'm really glad they developed that more this season, especially Darnel's character.

i used to watch that but have been to busy lately, besides didn't they change the time and date of that show... i like all the characters but toni, and would only date maya's in real life. the light skinned girl on there seems nasty and dirty, joan is too scatter brained, toni's a gold digger ... and even though maya is supposed to be ghetto the girl who plays the part (golden brooks?) can't quite pull it off.... ha so it makes it seem like she's a black girl from the burbs trying to be ghetto :-)

I watch it from time to time, but I am very distracted by an idiosyncracy of Traci Ross. She has very small pupils and the way she constantly widens her eyes makes her look she has apoplexy.

At first I didn't want to admit that I had seen the show because many of you (well, mostly Cynique) have this image that I would not be caught dead looking at an obvious chick show but I have to watch it to find out what the enemy is thinking--

Seriously though, for a retread of Living Single (which was a retread of Golden Girls) it isn't bad--they do have some things on there that are contemporary--Diana Ross' daughter has to be the most irritating black woman on tv and all she knows how to do is bug her eyes out--

I would rather watch it than have my eyes gouged out with red hot needles--

Now for the dirt. Apparently the gals thought they were being underpaid and they decided to hold out for more money. The producers threatened to can them all. Then three of the gals supposedly went behind one of their backs and made a deal. The one gal got fired.

Supposedly Diana Ross' daughter told the dumbone that "She needed her job"

I am not so interested in the show that I know who is who--

Moonsigns:
Yeah. When I first saw Traci Ross I thought she may have hyperthyroidism/Graves' disease. Her eyes bulge in a very unnatural way. It's pretty gross.

While I've watched a few minutes once or twice to get the vibe of the show, I'm not a faithful viewer or even a half-hearted viewer. In my opinion, I think the producers tried to copycat Sex In The City.

lol, just because a person is ghetto doesnt mean they lack class and intelligence...thats one of the reasons i liek the show so much is because they dont tightcast people...ti feel like maya's character is very multidimentional. .....i know some "ghetto" women who act just like maya...my aunt is one of them

That is show is pretty funny, well the older episodes anyway. All the girls have thier laugh out loud moments but Willam always seems to be trying to hard. Toni Childs is the most frightening personality on television right now! LOL. I have never seen someone so compleatly self abosorbed on television (but I don't watch much t.v).
