There are so many alternative sources of fuel available, but Oil companies would rather destory the world than allow anything to offset thier power and domination of the engery sector.

The reason that I posted this was so that everyone that sees this can go post it on every web site they frequent. It is entirely possible that this fellow could meet with some tragic accident and his shop, along with all of his drawings, be destroyed in a fire. What he did was not that complicated, but he did flash on that one piece of the puzzle that has eluded folks for quite a while. The more people that know that this is really doable, the more people their will be working on it if something sad happens to this guy. It's a small thing to do, and it might actually be helping out the planet earth.Go post this everywhere that you can think of to post it.Doesn't cost you a nickle.Go do it.NOW!!:-)

I don't frequent elsewhere but the video stated that he has registered a patent for this, so you're safe. Since you're the expert - how long do you think it will take to convert all our automobiles to this new fuel system?

A patent buried in the library of congress amongst everything else that has ever been written down by anyone in the history of the world isn't much of a safety net.:-)Fortunately,what he has done is not develop an entirely new technology.Since everybody here is a college graduate(except me:-))I won't bore you with the details of what water is or how electrolysis works, but there are a couple of common misconceptions. One is that elctrolysis at reasonable ammperage levels splits a water molecule into two hydrogen and one oxygen atom.It doesn't.It peels off the hydrogen atom with the weak bond, but the other hydrogen atom has a very strong bond and that gives you one hydrogen atom, which is a good thing, and one HO molecule, which is a very bad thing. It's like an acid. You have to be able to split the molecule entirely.
Another misconception is that plants, by means of photosynthesis, pull CO2 out of the atmosphere, attach the carbon atom to a water molecule, giving you a carbohydrate that the plant uses for energy, and then sheds the oxygen into the atmosphere. It doesn't.A plant splits a water molecule into into two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom, attaches the hydrogen to the CO2, yeilding the carbohydrate and then sheds the remaining oxygen into the atmosphere.A very important distinction because this means that a weed can split a water molecule up cleanly without ridiculous levels of power.
The problems people encounter trying to do this in higher volumes than a plant is that water is a poor conductor of electricity, so you need to add something conductive to the water, and you need a catalyst of some sort to increase the reaction by several orders of magnitude to raise the production level to something useful.Plants use chorophyll, actually a couple of types of chlorophyll which react to different light frequencies, as the catalyst.

So, what this guy has probably done is figure out that elusive 'missing piece' of the puzzle, which is to find a catalyst that works much like chlorophyll, except is far more reactive and responds to electrical energy rather than light.

How long it will take this to go into production depends on many variables, none of which are manufacturing considerations.:-)They mentioned in the video clip that this guy was meeting with some folks in Washington. What will be discussed in that meeting will be A) how much money will it take to make this guy just go away?, B)is there any way that we can classify this top secret without setting off a revolution?, and C) how can we make sure that China doesn't get their hands on this guy's work? Our current administration, particularly the V.P., is making obscene amounts of money fighting for oil. They would like to continue doing that, so they will fight this tooth and claw every inch of the way.
You will notice that this was broadcast on the american version of Tass. The only reason that fox would broadcast this would be in the hopes that other people would quit working on this, since somebody has already done it successfully.

Good Morning Mr. Rustang!

Thank you for your thorough and educational explanation. I really appreciate it. I know that this new energy source is complex, but being technologically challenged - I'll just think of it as an advanced form of steam power. Please don't hold it against me.

Making this guy disappear is no longer an option since we are depleting our natural resources at such a rapid rate - we MUST develop an alternative fuel source now. The vegetable oil/ethenol route doesn't seem practical to me. And don't the Chinese already own us since we are so deeply indebted to them?

BTW - Greatness doesn't require a Ph.D., so please don't put yourself down because you missed out on college. IMO 95% of college educated ppl probably couldn't hold a candle to you!

And chrishayden have nerve enough to think that Rustang and I are the same person. Like I could expound on the technology of turning water into fuel. All I can say is there's just no end to the things water is good for. If taken with aspirin, water can ward off a heart attack and prevent a stroke. It's also handy to have around when you're thirsty.

Yeah, water's mighty good stuff, Cynique.:-)
Mzuri,I get the impression that you haven't spent a whole lot of time around white folks with 9 digit estates. While it is true that we, the average folks need to develop alternative sources of energy pronto, and we need to start taking major steps to try to slow down global warming equally pronto, the people calling the shots don't share this sense of urgency. They are all at least 50 years old and most of them are pushing 70.They are perfectly happy with the direction things are going. The condition of society or the planet itself means nothing.I have seen several good ideas about fuel efficiency come along over the years, only to have the patent bought by a major oil company and disappear forever.I saw a show on PBS in the mid-70s in which a couple of students at M.I.T. developed a cheap, small, bolt on modification to the carburetor of an M.G. that caused the car to get about 140 miles per gallon. It never saw the light of day again.
The people like Lee Raymond really and truly, from the bottom of their steely hearts do not give a damn about anything other than money.Dubya would shoot Laura right between the eyes himself in the middle of the rose garden if their was enough money on the table. This is something that some folks have a little trouble getting their mind around.Money is number one and there is no number two for the small group of morally defective folks that are running things.

I wouldn't consider myself to be anything resembling a conspiracy theorist, Mzuri.:-) I'm just mentioning specific actions by specific people. It isn't really any secret that we have a very small number of people in this country that have gobs of money.Less than 1% of the population controls over 40% of the wealth.Last year's Forbes 400 had assets totaling nearly a trillion dollars. That's just they're own personal wealth. That doesn't include the resouces of the companies they run, like microsoft, walmart,etc...That's way too much in the hands of way too few.80% of the media outlets in the world is controlled by 6 people.Do I believe that there is some secret cabal trying to plunge the world into darkness and hopeless despair? Not even close.Like interests do make for like-mindedness, however.Their personal profiteering aligns their priorities so closely that they might as well be some sort of cabal.Cheap, affordable power for everyone is contrary to the best interests of the C.E.O. of Chevron. This sort of person has an entirely different frame of referance than your average person. That's why the environmental regulation waivers got to New Orleans before the national guard did in the aftermath of Katrina. The well being of the petro-chemical industry's bottom line was important.A broke-assed nigger in New Orleans wasn't.He never even crossed anybody's mind until the public outcry grew so loud that they had to make a token response. This sort of person has absolutely no problem with trashing the entire planet as long as the planet waits until after he's dead to go belly up.

LiLi, if you mean the link wouldn't work, it consists of a news clip about a man named Denny Klein who has developed a fairly effective way to run his car on water.By means of electrolysis he breaks water down into HHO gas instead of the usual mix of one hydrogen atom and one HO molocule. The 'why this is noteworthy' and 'why this is difficult' is explained in my post made at 9:19 on the 15th.:-)
