Have you seen this site before: www.blacktown.net?
They blame the state of black men solely on the feminist movement instead of shouldering some of the blame on black men themselves. These fools hate black women. All they can talk about is the blonde hair and the acrylic nails as if all black women are Lil' Kim wannabes! The message board is hilarious. If you are a black woman looking to defend yourself or understand what they're posting, you get banned. What a joke! It's probably some DL movement or something! LOL! |

From one portion I read: Black men leave black LITTLE GIRLS as revenge and HOPE they grow up miserable.
That says A LOT!
Another portion: They can't stay with their families, because WHITE MEN WON'T ALLOW THEM.

That's sad.Unfortunately, hatred and blame are easy products to sell.I can see how their routine would be a real crowd pleaser in certain fringe sectors.It's not your fault that you are a pistol packin', crack smokin' moron.It's them hoes that raised you.And the women are supposed to get on board with their program, which states up front that one of their objectives is to dominate black women.
I'd have to say that I don't remember the 60s as being a golden age of black unity, like these guys are trying to say, and I really don't think that one would be able to find too many people that were there that would say that it was.
It should provide some interesting discussion hearing our christian constituency explain how these idiots aren't 'true believers' though.Let the fun begin!

I couldn't find the message board. And don't have the patience to read a 100 pages of pure bull crap.
They male who wrote this sounds very sexist--telling women how to wear their hair, and what they should be doing.
And why do black women always have to wear ONLY an Afro to be a true Black woman? How boring. A bunch of women of color with the exact same hairstyle like mini clones. You won't even be able to tell us apart like that. |

How do you know if it isn't a joke site? The joke may be that people think it's real. Well I hope it is a joke. Lord knows there are plenty or similiar sites on the internet masquerading as serious and informative.

I visited their site once and they started sending me a lot of harassing emails. But by the time I got through with them they informed me how unmanageable I was and they weren't going to email me anymore. They are a joke, and they are also DL. There were some BM on another site talking about how they sexed each other as part of their religion to give each other strength but they were not gay….Really sicko. They were even trying to twist some scriptures to justify it. It's likely the same people. |

Nope, the blame should be shouldered upon BOTH black men and women. Black men should take the lead, but black women should LET them lead as well. We both need to be secure in our own identities in order to be comfortable in our roles. Extreme feminism, racism, and poverty are hindrances, but we have ALLOWED them to be hindrances to our goals of unity and self-determination.

I agree with Fortified. The blacktown.net guys are somewhat too extreme, and careful reading bares out their old-timey Puritanical thinking. But they DO have quite a few good points. |

I do have to agree with those Blacktown men regarding the blonde hair issue. Sistas, blonde does NOT look good on us--dark gold maybe, but not those platinum and ash blondes. Try browns, reds, and make sure it goes with your skin complexions!!! |
