Though I have not aqnnouced it yet (still working through some issues), the new discussion board is redy for use now http://aalbc.com/tc. I hope that; (1) I do scare away any of the 20 people that regularly post (or the 50 that post intermittently); (2) That some new blood will be injected in the conversation (perhaps even the 600 folks that have active accounts; (3) People will take advantage of the new features benefical and find the discussion board functionality easier to use. The software is completely different so there will be a slight learning curve. Some people may already be familiar with the software and it will not be an issue. People can not sign on using there facebook account. They can even add an aalbc.com discussion board icon to their facebook profile if they like. However you can still create your own login if you want to posts under alter ego. Before the end of the month (perhaps with in the next week) I will lock this board down. The posts will remain, but new Thumpers corner conversation will have to be made on the new boards. Which can be found at http://aalbc.com/tc I will email everyone who has an active account shortly with some additional information. But please feel free to start using the new boards. Hey Thumper that is odd. I can't exmaplain why you would be served an under construction page? At any rate, I'm glad you finally got in and even made a post. I finished tweeking the on the administration side for now. I have serious issues to deal with on the rest of the website. I've decided to lock the board down THIS Sunday (17 Jan 2010) evening. Again all posts can still be read, I'm just going to prevent new posts from being made. I'll archive everything so the links won't change and put up a message saying where the new board is. | ||
