Troy, I want a spot next to Thumper. For real. You now Thump is my ace reviewer - right. So I am thinking that your new board wouldn't be complete without a voice similar to his but with a different flavor. Check this title: Thumper's Grayhead Nephew.... Bam. For real Troy, I'd be nice. I mean, I'd even use a spellcheck and be on my best behavior. I'd even have someone proof read my posts. I think the book world needs a different voice. We have enough wanna be authors writng reviews. I can't read as fast as Thump (that boys a vacuum), but I can put them away if I so desire. Maybe I could concentrate on street lit or other genres that Thump doesn't do. Or, we can even do the same book... at times? I can do this Troy, let me in the door. Once you gave this offer to my wife. She's still with me, she's in me. |

Hello All, Ah hell naw; Carey, You? My nephew? HA! *LOL* I didn't slip and fall out of reality now. What you mean to say is that you want to be billed as Thumper's Ol' Grayhead UNCLE! That way the age proportion would be correct and true! |

Thump, I was just saying... ** side eye with a grin ** See, you've probably read more books than Langston Hughs - right? You most surely sound like him - right? For the last 10 years you've been telling me what to do - right? Soooo, it's only fitting that I be Mr. Simple, Thumper's Ol' Grayhead NEPHEW! Riiiiiiht! Besides, we're not talking about getting hooked on phonics, uncle Thump. We're talking book reviews. Listen, what's Troy going to think, you're already being difficult. I can see it now... "My Ol'Grayhead doesn't know what he's talking about. He must have lost his metamucil... along with his mind... the book was slaming" Come on Thump, you don't need no ticket, just get onboard. True dat! |

Plus, I don't know what Crystal is talking about. I's a changed man. Not that I've ever begged for books, I'm just sayin'.... |

Well LiLi, I need Thump. I am thinking something like Siskel and Ebert. Over the years, Thump and I have had hundreds of exchanges, and we managed to keep our switch blades in our pockets. There have been times we have not agreed on a book or a movie and we've managed to voice our differences in a light (and hopefully) funny way. Sure, Thumper doesn't need me to do his thang, he's a pro. But sometimes an opposing voice needs to be heard AND, it could possibly sell a book to those that might be on the fence after reading 1 review. But I hear you. How about, Carey Reviews: "Thumper's ol'grayhead knuckle head" |

Hello All, I'm in the middle of getting some reviews together. In the midst of editing them, I started reading another Faulkner novel, The Unvanquished. It's WONDERFUL! I have a new black literary hero now, his name is Ringo. |
