Well lookie here, yawl tried to warn me, and he refuses to go down. My man Cyrus Webb has resurfaced. LiLi asked about my old buddy and here he is. Taken from his newsletter: "Many of you may wonder where have we been the past few months. Well, the answer is we have been busy working on The Write Stuff and the literacy campaign that began back in 2003. We never stopped working, even though you might not have gotten your updates from here. The truth is we had some individuals among us that didn't have the project's success foremost in their motives. They were more concerned about themselves, what they could get from it and not what they could offer. As founder of the organization it then became my job to step back and reassess the situation. With this time, however, never did I think that the project wouldn't go forth. It was just a matter of getting things in order so we could proceed" "For the sake of keeping the peace, I am not going to get into who is not with us or who is still with us. That will show itself as the weeks go by. Some of the contestants have even bowed out, frustrated and disappointed at the pace the project was going in. That is understandable, and we wish them well. What I do want you all to keep in mind is that The Write Stuff has never been about one person's success. It has always been about the promotion of literacy, and in that mission we couldn't have been any more successful" "With that said, the online debut of THE WRITE STUFF will begin on Sat. Oct. 17, 2009. Because of my travels over the summer and the dedication of my supporters, we have a great first show lined up for you. Who will it include?" "We have also added some great promotions on our Youtube channel at www.youtube.com/thewritestufftv" "Many of the same producers are still with The Write Stuff as well as other Platinum Supporters. We thank all of them. There are no hard feelings on my part from anyone who has left our team. We wish them nothing but the best in whatever they decide to do" It appears Cyrus's motto is "pimp or die". Of course I have talked with this guy, and I'll tell you, if you wasn't looking for "game", he might slip something past you. But once a person gets a good whiff of him, his "tells" are obvious. Did you catch the ambigous words in his letter? Was he backpeddling while driving forward? |
