Don't agree with all his prognostications--a mix of socio/politico divination
(he predicts a final confrontation between Mexico and the U.S. beginning in
2080--I think it has already begun--but some of the suppositions upon which he
works are fascinating and troubling

Like this one from page 29:

...it is logical to conclude that America, like Europe in the sixteenth century,
is still barbaric.....It's culture is ulnformed. It's will is powerful. It's
emotions drive it in different and contradictory directions.

or this one p 46

Rhetoric aside, the United States has no overriding interest in peace in
Eurasia. It also has no interest in winning a war outright, as with Vietnam or
Korea, the purpose of these conflicts is simply to block a power or destabilize
the region. Not to impose order"

A prescrip for Forever war?

Also he describes a war between the U.S., Japan, Poland and Turkey (!) in outer
space using moon and orbital bases and hypersonic craft.

This guy is head of STRATFOR, the "world's leading private intelligence and
forcasting company"

Not only are they planning a hundred years ahead

They make money out of it.

He also identifies American Grandstrategy as follows

The complete domination of North America by the United States Army

The Elimination of Any threat to to the United States by any power in the Western Hemisphere

The complete control o the Maritime approaches to the US by the Navy in order to preclude any possibility of invasion

The complete domination of the World's Oceans to further secure US Physical Safety and Guarentee control over the International Trading System

The Prevention of any other nation from challenging US global Naval power

(You forget how Obama, the Peace Candidate, gave the military 600 billion dollars?

The Pentagon is going to get it's money if nothing else does...)
