I uploaded a bunch of photos from our 2009 Black Pack Party which was held on Saturday and from the African American Pavilion at Book Expo.

I up loaded the photos onto facebook: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=99639&id=620627049&ref=mf

I also made these shots available on The kodak gallery for anyone who wants to down load high-res copies or order prints: http://tinyurl.com/blackpack2009

This is Crazy 2.0. It is new media crazy.

Here is a video created by Relentless Aaron which highlights BEA and a Stalker situation he is apparently involved in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTR2mKAN39Q

This was a very interesting video. Say what you will about him, Relentless Aaron does have directorial skilz.

Monique is a classic example of someone whose inability to handle rejection degenerated into the obsession that characterizes all stalkers.

We have a society that is reaping the result of the self-esteem boom back in the 1960s wherein parents and teachers emphasized bolstering a child's self esteem so as not to damage his psyche instead of encouraging a child to earn respect and admiration with the help of contructive criticism.

Now we have a population of people who go through life with inflated opinions of themselves and who when confronted with reality, have difficulty coping, blaming everyone else for their inadequancies.

These clueless people are the type who show up to audition for American Idol and are stunned to find out that they have not talent.

Cynique, Relentless Aaron is indeed very creative and talented.

That self esteem boom came well after the 60's when I was a kid; you could still see red ink on graded examinations; everyone did not make the team and everyone on the team did not get a trophy; they separated kids in classes based upon ability -- and everyone knew who was in the smartest and the dumbest class; kids were still getting whacked with rulers in Catholic schools; people who refused to work were called "bums"; etc, etc.

I suspect many of the changes due to this new way of thinking came about in the 80's. Or perhaps this ideology reached the 'hood much later...
