I wonder if I should send out Thank You's to Yevettep, Kitty, Afrika, Sisgal, Troy and Crystal. Well, maybe not Crystal but am just sayin' ... See, I walked into the blog world and fell in love. I got my own little spot.http://careycarey-carrymehome.blogspot.com/ and I've met some nice folk. There's a lot of chest thumping over there ...so I guess I'll fit right in *lol*. On the real, it depends on what you are looking for. I was invited to a site of a person from this board and I just moved around through her site. I introduced myself and hungout a while. My house is not as nice and fresh as most of the others but that's cool, I am a newbie. Some of those blog sites are blown up! I don't think I'll be doing any decorating. Hey, it's a dudes spot. Now, if you decide to come by and visit you are welcome. If you come by to drop salt...don't. I am going to try and clean up my act ...what ever that is  . Hey you two, thanks for stopping by. It's been everythang you said. It's basically what you want it to be. Yvettep said it's important to define ones purpose for blogging, that's so true. Although I said there's a lot of chest thumping in the blog world, it depends on where you go. On many sites individuals are trying to promote themself and therefore a lot of "I" statements are thrown around. What I do like about the experience is you can choose who you wish to associate with. One can visit someones home and see what they are on and then leave a comment. If the place is messy you can just back out. You can even be a follower of whatever site you wish to be a part of. I don't quite understand all the in's and outs of links and thangs so I am just siting on the sidelines picking and poking.. I entered through a writers site and therefore I checked out her friends and commented on their site when I liked what they were talking about. In this forum there's instant feedback (sort of) and that's a good thang. I love the mix of people that hit this board and that can never be replaced. Heck, where could I find another Li-Li to argue with or a Cynique to keep my game tight. Like I said, some of those sites are a mix of color, splish and splash. It appears as if some even have sponsors or something? Kitty was right when she said those that try to write something 2-3 times a day fail miserably. Writing is a tough gig and thinking is even harder. I haven't even thought about dressing up my low rent place. I think I'll just wait and see if I like the neighborhood. Heck, I don't even know how they do that? Must be some web designers or something. Sounds like money to me and I ain't got a dime. Well, I got a few pennies but am just sayin'.... It's been said that I am like an old refreigerator and can't keep nothing, soooooooo, it was kitty that thought I might want to look into blogging and it was Sisgal that read the post as a lurker and hit me with some ideas. So here's a "Thanks" to my Thumper's Corner sistas ....I think? Well, I can say it's another adventure and that's always a good thang. But I will say that you better have your game tight if you wish to be taken seriously. Oh yeah, there's some fresh, intelligent and open minds in the blog world. | ||

Carey, to clarify what I said...Not everyone who blogs 2-3 times a day fails miserably. What I've observed is that people who set out to "write brilliantly", even once a day, fail. It reads as forced and unnatural, which rarely results in anything I would call brilliant. So glad you're doing the damn thing...and you're welcome!! I put a little color on my spot. My closet is full of blue, black and brown jeans. I couldn't move too far away from my basic dress. It might now be a little too conservative? I will be taking you up on your offer. The templates I've used seem to restrict movement of articles, posts and pictures. One that I liked splashed my mug at the top of the page and I wasn't feeling that. I'll tell you what, this ain't a job but it IS a JOB. You guys have been great. Our girl even hit me off-line ...we already have secrets *lol*. Nope, you can't make me, you can't make me. My old refrigerator days are over. I called the Maytag man. I don't know though. I feel like the guy who is being pursuade to ask the new pretty girl for a dance. I want to dance with her but I am afraid of being turned down. I'm a little late to this discussion, but just wanted to welcome Carey to the crazy blog world. I rebelled for a while but now I'm all about a blog. I have been off and on with mine but it is definitely like an addiction (right up there with my new addiction, facebook). When I didn't blog for a while, I just kept on saying, "Ooo, I would love to blog about that." LOL I wish I could sit at home and blog all day. LOL. Perfect job for me. | ||

Always_lurking, you are true to your name. You've been coming to this board for years! I don't do facebook. I am just amazed at how some people can manage 3 blogs, facebook and twitter. I guess it depends on ones purpose. As you probably know there are some wild bloggers. But for the most part it's your choice. Drop by some time and give a hint at who you are. I only did a 2 line bio so I've sort of been introducing myself through my posts (some of them). Yeah, I can be watching TV and think to myself that something I saw would be great to blog about. But you can bet your bottom dollar most television events are being "talked" about. What is strange is I was coming in here doing a little Sunday something and didn't even know people were doing the same thing in another way. I am slow. My girl Kitty gave me my first fix. Yeah, she's nothing but a drug dealer *lol*. Call me a snitch but she did it. | ||

See, thats just what we were talking about ...its not the shoes you wear ...or the way you swear ...I went to the best school in town ...Thumpers Corner @ AALBC.com! If a person doesn't have a dictionary ...all they have to do is sit around ABM. That boy is Mr. Webster's son ...and will cut you. A person needs to know when to fold'em ...get your kicks at route 66 ...by way of ABM. Everybody knows a good pair of shoes can be found in St Louis ...did I hear someone say Chris Hayden. Are you kidding me ...a blind person can see he has game. He's like the Uncle that might fart at the picnic table but at the same time throw you some wisdom that you'll never forget. Linda has been hanging around Troy and Li-Li has been hanging out everywhere. They say knowledge is like food and Li-Li loves to cook ...and if a person is going to go anywhere, they need a car ...Li-Li has a few. I may be slow but I ain't dumb ...I sat around a few fireplaces with Ntsf. Now that boy will have you running to the dictionary. Everybody knows he's been in the military and he is tough as a tank ...I picked up a little something from him. You know I am an admitted Voyeur ...yes sir. I peeked in Brown Robin's windows a few times. I've learned a lot from my big sister ...sisgal ...yep, Ms. Web design. I ain't sayin nothin but she's like that kissin' cousin that you go to get your Birds & Bees. I stopped by her house on the way to building my house and she put me up on a whole lot of game. I've learned how to be quiet by "listening" to Emanuel and Rondell. They know how to sit back and be cool. That Kam guy knows a little this and a little that as well. I may be slow but I had to pickup a few thangs from ....shisssh ...KOLA!!! Talkin' about the birds and the Bees ...that's a big drink of Honey right there *lol*.
