Hi, this is Kola. :-)

I would like to say THANKS to all the people at AALBC.COM who've continued to email me with so many encouraging affirmations about my work, my self as a person, concern for my sons, and comments about missing me--the feeling is mutual.

I'm especially touched to constantly get so much email from unexpected people like...
LAMB, Latina_wi, Misty, Jackie, Bayou Nights, Nels, Renata, Gwen and Toubie.

Thank you and God bless you.

I don't own a Kindle and I don't know anyone
who does.

I truly think the "speculated" sales numbers are
inaccurate and I doubt that there's a strong
BLACK audience at this moment using Kindles...

...but nonetheless, Atlantic Kindle has just
released 3 Kola Boof titles on Amazon's new Kindle device.

One of the books ("Kola Boof Unplugged and Uncut") actually compiles RANTS that I made on AALBC.COM, letters I wrote to people that have actually become "re-mailed" Internet hits and a bunch of other stuff that might be amusing to my old supporters from here.

The releases are:

"Diary of a Lost Girl: The Autobiography of
Kola Boof"

http://www.amazon.com/Diary-Lost-Girl-Autobiography-Kola/dp/B001OQCL42/ref=sr_1_ 3?ie=UTF8&s=digital-text&qid=1231449549&sr=1-3

Long Train to the Redeeming Sin (Short Stories)

http://www.amazon.com/LONG-TRAIN-REDEEMING-SIN-Stories/dp/B001OQCL38/ref=sr_1_5? ie=UTF8&s=digital-text&qid=1231450226&sr=1-5

KOLA BOOF Unplugged and Uncut: The Essential Kola Boof Anthology

http://www.amazon.com/KOLA-BOOF-Unplugged-Uncut-Essential/dp/B001OMGO76/ref=sr_1 _2?ie=UTF8&s=digital-text&qid=1231450637&sr=1-2

My old publisher, Door of Kush, has disbanded, but they plan to release "Flesh and the Devil"
as a KINDLE edition by summer.

And Atlantic Kindle has rights to my poetry collection "Nile River Woman" which I think they will release when my next paper-bound poetry book comes out.

Though you're not able to hear from me on this board any longer....you WILL be hearing from me in a very big way in the future.

So don't let my detractors and their gleeful announcements of my "demise" get you down.

I have always walked alone, but I have always

Just because you don't see me--doesn't mean
I've gone away.

I am stronger than ever.

The ones who appreciate and care for my work--only Death could keep me from you.

That's what an artist is.

Thanks so much for your support.

Nobody here has made any "gleeful annoucements of your demise", Kola. Out of sight, out of mind, girlfriend. Now go back to lurking.

Happy New Year Kola. I may buy one of those kindle readers in the near future. They could come handy while traveling.
