I'm Baaaaaaaack!

While out of town, I was reading an article in FIGURE magazine that featured international music artists describing daily life in their respective home countries. One of the ladies, Angelique Kidjo, had this to say about the movie-going experience in Benin:

"In African movie theaters,

people talk. In a Western,

if someone's hiding behind a door,

everyone will shout, 'watch out! He's behind

the door!'[...]"

Hmmmm, black people talking in movies, why does that sound so familiar? :-)

That I can deal with. It's when they bring in the little babies and they start crying that I can't stand.

Probably why I watch movies on tapes or dvd now
