Seems like when I was trying to get grounded in the literary game this woman was all over the place--she was writing a new book every week and the New Yawk Literary Establishment was insisting that she was the Be All and End All.

Now she's just disappeared.

What happened to her?

Was she another Tama Janowitz?

Joyce is still alive and well and very much still doing her thang. She *just* had a story in The New Yorker called "Pumpkinhead" and her newest collection called Dear Husband will be published in April!

She did a couple of things back in the day--and its all words on the page now--she apparently does nothing but write. All day long. Nothing.
