Agree. Remember when he lost all that weight and the HIV whispers started? But I have a question. Regarding your statement "our leaving him be allowed us all to better enjoy his wondrous music"--What do you mean? We couldn't have enjoyed his music had we known this about him? Or, we couldn't have enjoyed his music as much if he had to discuss such "accusations"? Or what? I don't know. I know how much I love to blab about my kids and husband and other family members and everyone else I love. I just can't imagine ever feeling as if I had to silence myself from refering to them because I was concerned about what others thought. I'm not talking about "privacy"--but about not even mentioning them at all--ever. For US, the best thing about Luther may have been his music. But he was more than the sum of his vocals. I guess I just hope that he was able to have a fulfilling personal life, despite the difficult public-private situation he may have felt himself (probably rightly) to be in... |
