Kola, Okay now, you’re going to have to pull a rhetorical rabbit outtah you top hat on THIS one. Cause you’re going to accuse Kerry of ASSIMULATION yet absolve Quincy and Iman of the same even though they, not she, have MARRIED and bred children with White foks? Maybe you’re going to have to reacquaint me with the AUTHENTIC definition of ASSIMULATION. ‘Cause what’s more an indication of assimulating than whether foks share marriage licenses, stock portfolios and children? And okay, I sympathize with Iman’s being beaten by her former Black husband. I REALLY do. I hope the f@#$er (I think it was an ex-NBA’er, right?) get his @$$ handed to’em for it. ‘Cause that $#@+ ain’t EVER cool or right, regardless the race or color. But so that means ALL Black men are innate spousal abusers and, thus, her only refuge is with warm/waiting arms of a White man? And are you trynah say White men don’t beat their wives...Black one’s included (Considering the ‘history’ between WM/BW I consider the mere notion of such unfathomable .)? Are you trynah say White men don’t cheat, especially those like Bowie was (or still is) viewed to be modern day Julius Caesar: “Every man woman and every woman’s man.”)? And I commend the work Iman does on the colorism issue. I wonder, though, how it resonate amongst Black foks when they see her standing with Bowie...and their IR children. Now...I dare you to provide how all of THAT is less indicative of ASSIMULATION than Kerry dating some White dude (whom she'll probably dump by the end of this month). |
